Out of curiosity, who are the Dems getting positive COVID-19 tests? I couldn't find it from googling. I get why there's a bunch of Republicans because of working in the White House and the Dems are scattered about, but for the sake of balance is there a source to list politicians and aides of both parties with Covid?

Edit: I found this

Isn't it odd how all the people calling immigrants criminals and disease carriers ended up being criminals and carrying disease.

Interesting thing is that I only saw one Republican doing proxy voting in the house. It looks like the way it works is another rep does voting, which I guess limits the number of people that need to be present. It looks like one party is taking the hoax seriously, and the other one isn't.

I'm not surprised that this thing became political (and was even surprised when at first it seemed like it wasn't....the culture is such that it's inevitable that people would protest quarantine and think the whole thing is made up). What I do find surprising is the extent to which the upper echelons also drank the Kool-Aid. It's not just Trump but the House, too, it seems. So beyond being corrupt, they are at best, massively delusional.

Coronavirus in Europe

Good chunks of Europe will evidently need some kind of a new lockdown. Plus it is kinda obvious that someone is trying to save the economy, which simply can't be saved in the times like these. Because people wouldn't spend money and many business will have to close simply because their workers got sick. As the graph says we had a good run and we should have tried really hard to keep it that way. While the impression is that most countries kinda gambled away very good situation (mostly through not enough masks and general caution).

The elite are conditioned to think they are untouchable, and for any issue that is socially or economically driven, they are. I've been gobsmacked by the way that people seem to apply social dynamics to the virus. There is even an attitude, 'well I've done X amount, now it's your turn to give a little'. There is an unconscious negotiation with the virus that is simply M00t. Elite think they are safe because socially they always have been.

These issues that escape people about basic concepts of how viruses operate could easily be in a gradeschool textbook with age appropriate quizzes. Adults have spent a lifetime layering convoluted notions on top of simple reasoning and as a result demonstrate an inability to think in the most basic scientific and reasoning terms. They've spent a lifetime playing too many games, and the virus doesn't. I have a completely different view of humans and society now than before the pandemic.

I was thinking that.... perhaps there's a certain amount of expecting the rules to not apply to them. I guess I thought they would maybe say things like "the virus is a hoax" because their base wants to hear that, but secretly take every precaution for themselves. I guess what I'm saying is that they're more out of touch than even I would have thought.

Yup... the virus doesn't care about any of the games people play. In fact, it doesn't even have an opinion on the song "Games People Play."

It looks as another record day in global cases a daily.
What is logical since a number of countries has a record day or close to that.

New record is here, 343 400.
As usual some data probably still isn't in. But the record is already broken for something like 17 000.

Unlike Michigan, Ohio doesn't have much of a militia, so we're trying to do things legit.

Ohio lawmaker not giving up longshot quest to arrest Gov. Mike DeWine over coronavirus orders - cleveland.com

One of Ohio’s most conservative lawmakers isn’t giving up his increasingly quixotic fight to see Gov. Mike DeWine pay a price for his coronavirus policies.

State Rep. John Becker, a term-limited Clermont County Republican, has asked a state appeals court to order the arrest of DeWine on 10 charges, including (among others) terrorism, inducing panic, conspiracy, bribery, and interfering with civil rights. Most of the charges are felonies.

Ohio law permits private citizens to submit an affidavit alleging a crime, though it’s up to a prosecutor to actually file charges. Last week, Becker unsuccessfully asked Clermont County Prosecutor Vince Faris to file such charges, leading the lawmaker to now ask the Twelfth District Court of Appeals to order Faris to prosecute DeWine.

It’s the latest longshot attempt to unseat DeWine by Becker and a handful of other conservative state lawmakers who are unhappy about the governor’s coronavirus response, which has included closing schools and businesses for weeks, postponing Ohio’s March 17 primary election and requiring Ohioans to wear face masks.

In 2003, before his election to the legislature, Becker wrote a letter to the editor of the Cincinnati Enquirer pointing out that as Massachusetts had recently allowed same-sex marriage, the federal government was required to amend the Constitution to prohibit such unions, or failing that expel Massachusetts from the Union.

This guy is a few sandwiches short of a picnic. And a Covidiot for going after DeWine.
