Not at all. We have had right and left for decades. Honest political differences never stopped the likes of Ronald Reagan and Tip O'Neill from working together for the good of the nation. Something else is going on now.

People who bear some responsibility for what is happening, while amplifying a civil war (100% started on 8chan) and simultaneously engaging in the false balance fallacy (bothsideism and the vague specter of "the media" is at fault) and trying to pawn it off as left vs right bullshit?

It's quite the mental gymnastics.

Makes perfect sense when you realize the political parties involved care more about party power, than the health of Americans. We are heading towards a civil war in my opinion. Forget schools reopening, the very government is fracturing and not following the rule of law or proper procedures. All because of right vs left bullshit. People refuse to work with each other, or will only do so if they trade up in party power.

My post is exactly on track with that because if eviction problem isn't solved RIGHT NOW it is possible that you wouldn't have a country on election day. Here is what I wrote the other day.

Plus what is missing is that some local authorities organized elections basically outside of legal system, what triggered the central government and their supporters.

Therefore:

Large public debt - check
Bad economy - check
Not so many friendly foreign countries - check
Stressed population - check
Clashes of local authorities and central government - check
The leader that 60% of the country can't stand - check
Endless experiments with education system over the years - check
High ethnic tensions based on history - check
Chunks of police going over the line - check
Bad and decaying infrastructure - check

Therefore I am getting the impression that some politicians don't really understand with what they are playing here. Once people are chronically stressed and the foundation is cracked it is very hard to put things back together, especially if the country is big. Since due to that international efforts just wouldn't have the real effect. Not to mention that probably no one would really want to interfere into this due to a number of complex reasons. Also foreign analysts said that the mess here will end in about 10 days and therefore they went for "easy solutions", but they overlooked one thing and that is that the military and the police will also fracture. Therefore the two opposing forces will be much more equal in numbers, what then opens the gates for long term mess.

So yeah, I am probably the last person here that will claim "It can't happen". The only real dilemma left in the air is: Is it worth it?. Here clear majority thinks it was, since they no longer have to share the country with "certain people". For that reason the question of splitting countries into pieces is as old as it is complex. While what the laws of the "mother" country are saying is generally irrelevant if the problems snowball. What is generally hard to achieve without bad economy or strong foreign influence. However when a country stops to exist in practice it's laws are basically reduced to piece of paper. While new leaders will basically improvise solutions out of this situation.

Scroll down to the list of states to find out who is a shit state for tenant protections and who isn't:
Emergency Bans on Evictions By State | Coronavirus Pandemic | Nolo

Many state governors took action to protect state residents beyond what the incompetent twits in D.C. are doing.

Good, because I was thinking why they don't do that (in a lot of ways this is local problem that is simply present country wide). On the other hand it isn't that someone new would be able to take all those spaces that are being up for renting. However for this to truly work basically every state has to be fully loyal to "the case" and do so for many months ahead. Especially since even with this fully under control the country still wobbles quite a bit and it will continue to do so, but with this the worst can be contained. As long as there is housing and food most people will generally keep their "impulses" under control.

I think she simply meant left and right as they are now.

The nation hasn't been this divided in my lifetime. What's happening is the rampant teaching or indoctrination of anti-American leftist ideology in the k-12/college system. We're seeing a resurgence of Marxist/Communist ideology and a rejection of American ideology and the founding principles of liberty, individualism, and personal responsibility by a majority of an entire generation. Right now, there are millions of Americans who want to blow up Mt. Rushmore and tear down statues of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. If these people gain more power, we'll end up like Venezuela and other failed socialist states.

Evidently the worst day since April. I am afraid that the rest of the continent will have to put them under quarantine again.

Well this is good news...

Selective and cross-reactive SARS-CoV-2 T cell epitopes in unexposed humans | Science

Many unknowns exist about human immune responses to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. SARS-CoV-2 reactive CD4[SUP]+[/SUP] T cells have been reported in unexposed individuals, suggesting pre-existing cross-reactive T cell memory in 20-50% of people. However, the source of those T cells has been speculative. Using human blood samples derived before the SARS-CoV-2 virus was discovered in 2019, we mapped 142 T cell epitopes across the SARS-CoV-2 genome to facilitate precise interrogation of the SARS-CoV-2-specific CD4[SUP]+[/SUP] T cell repertoire. We demonstrate a range of pre-existing memory CD4[SUP]+[/SUP] T cells that are cross-reactive with comparable affinity to SARS-CoV-2 and the common cold coronaviruses HCoV-OC43, HCoV-229E, HCoV-NL63, or HCoV-HKU1. Thus, variegated T cell memory to coronaviruses that cause the common cold may underlie at least some of the extensive heterogeneity observed in COVID-19 disease.
Many common colds are coronaviruses. Don't go wild with this info, but if you've had a cold in the last couple years there's a good chance you have some degree of immunity to COVID.

Florida, Arizona, and Texas spikes died off with very little government intervention (California is just now peaking and hopefully coming down the other side of their curve too, maybe- with LOTS of government intervention), so maybe this thing just burns through communities and fades out (since herd immunity could be more like 20% when considering those cross reactive T cells). New York got absolutely destroyed but we can probably blame that on the fact that they were the first hit- deeply seeded with the virus before anyone reacted- and our hospitals didn't really know what they were doing at the time. I doubt we will see anything as bad as NY or CA for the duration of the pandemic.

I feel like we're being plagued by stupid people. Literally. As in, they're the biggest culprits behind the virus being out of control.

"1,000 deaths in America per day" - maybe we just lead in deaths because we have more idiots like these than other countries do. I wish it was just these kinds of people dying. If you're stupid enough to be this careless with your life, and so asinine that you have a cult mentality to the point of basing your concern about your life on a president's statements that don't even match science or statistics...I feel like you deserve it. Don't even know how some people have survived this long.

Welcome to America...

Over 200 000 new registered case a day globally is evidently the new normal. For the last month we don't have a day bellow that line.

Also I was reading on my local news that this pandemic is causing clearly the biggest brake down of education in modern history. What somehow isn't hard to believe.
