If you run out of toilet paper, you could just cut up some old t-shirts.![]()
Apparently USA has had most all drugs outsourced to China... that is fucking stupid. I hope Trump brings it back to USA.
The sewer system is about to be rendered inoperable due to a surplus of Old Navy t-shirts being flushed down the drains across the USA.
There’s some conspiracy theory that this thing may have actually started in the US, and that we’ve already had several deaths, but that they were just reported as normal flu season deaths. The idea being that when the powers that be realized this thing could wreck the US economy, they had it transmitted to China so the rest of the world would be economically crippled and the US would not be at a disadvantage
No proof but I wouldn’t be surprised, given some of the nefarious shit our government has done to meddle in other nations’ affairs
Wouldn't the situation be much more dire here by now if that were the case? I guess I'm mostly thinking of the situation in Italy and China and how different the dynamic is there. Being connected directly with vulnerable populations like the facility where my father is living, I have some sense that an older standing outbreak would have made a stronger appearance throughout vulnerable populations. I don't think it could be disguised as a normal flu season. There’s some conspiracy theory that this thing may have actually started in the US, and that we’ve already had several deaths, but that they were just reported as normal flu season deaths. That's what happens when you let companies decide -- with minimal 'control' from the government.
I hope every country learns to be slightly more self-reliant from this in terms of basic things, like food and medical supplies.

I agree, but most people write that shit off as "Nationalism".
Nationalism is an exclusionary ideology. Companies running with minimal control/regulations from the government is called "capitalism", an economic system. Feel free to look it up.
I was gonna get some ground beef and Italian sausage to make some of Pepin's ragu sauce, but there were long lines (about 50 people long) at Walmart and Target. All the toilet paper and bottled water shelves were emptied. Even Ralphs and CVS were affected. Now, I'm not sure when I'll be able to go shopping again. I still have about 6 weeks worth of toilet paper so I'm good.
What is wrong with exclusion?
How would you like China to exclude the USA from antibiotics?
