I want to raise this question: if we got mild symptoms and positively tested and the doctors told us to self isolated in our house, wouldn't it be risky for our family who live together with us that they could get infected also.?
I heard that they will only test selectively people and even symptomatic patients may not be not getting tested .

In many states, symptomatic patients still cannot get tested for the coronavirus unless they meet certain limited criteria—even if their doctor wants to test them.

Positively tested may be asymtomatic.

dw.com said:
Information released by the Chinese Government, and reported in the South China Morning Post newspaper, suggests that the number of "silent carriers" — that's people who have tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus but who show no symptoms, or delayed symptoms — could be as high as 30%.

But since there are asymptomatic carrier who appear to be healthy, are not getting tested, would it imply that the actual number of infected cases be at least 30 percent higher?.

A lot of those people are moving to the basement or office or somewhere away from family. My neighbor has been living in his basement for the last week (he's a nurse).

Okay, so my SO tested positive. They tested him yesterday and phoned in today. They also tested me today. I'm expecting a positive result. Specifically, since we have already shown symptoms, that means seven days of quarantine for us and fourteen days for the children (the hardest part of all this).

I'm considering writing a quarantine diary in my blog if anyone is interested. We are all doing okay but have to measure our temperature and report to the authorities regularly.

Aw, sorry to hear that. It's good to hear that you aren't worried, though.

Even 2 months into this at a 130,000+ positives (the number of deaths will surge any day now) there are hardly any more ventillators and hospital beds than there were a month ago. Finally a stimulus bill got passed. Mass production hasn't even begun yet or just starting. This speaks to Trump's complete lack of political ability (among other things)

The irony of make America Great Again....no, get America ventillators and hospital beds. Any presidenti worth his or her salt would have already had that taken care of by now. America is looking very backward...faring no better in the infrastructure department than the countries that Trump in his empty platitudes likes to refer to as "Third World"

Let's get some reality going on here, shall we? The results can only be as good as the number of tests ran. If you're running few tests, what the hell do you expect? That's what Senator Joe Manchin was complaining about regarding W.Va. Not enough testing, so the results are deceptive.

Pelosi: Trump's fiddling is costing lives.
Also Pelosi: *caused relief bills to be delayed because her and her crowd had to try and force progressive agendas into a relief bill*

Failing to see how either one of you have actually done a damn thing to help the situation. No one has self awareness anymore.

It's my understanding that the Republicans already put conservative agendas into the relief bill. So evidently, it wasn't just Pelosi. It looks like it's being used as political football on both sides of the aisle. That being said, I think that it's important to remember that the essential professions that aren't subject to stay at home orders, and are thus more likely to get the disease, are, apart from the field of medicine, lower income, and thus, in more need of relief than something like airplane manufacturers.

I certainly agree both sides have been crazy and I currently dislike both parties for it equally. As I stated earlier in deep rage, neither party cares whether my family lives or dies from this frankly.

I do also agree those in those fields are more in need, but I also do not see why it is so bad we aid those bigger companies as well. If they go under it will ALSO hurt and injure the economy. So while I do think a vast amount of the relief should go to the every day worker and essential personnel, who is going to keep those business afloat? Of course my knowledge could be considered limited.

Yeah, good job West Virginia! They're almost as low as China @ 57 cases per million. What do you suppose Texas and West Virginia are doing so right? Are they following China's lead? Why not stop there though?

Sudan only has 0.1 cases per million, as does Papua New Guinea. Ethiopia, Tanzania, Myanmar, Angola, Nepal, Chad, Somalia all have 0.2 cases per million. GREAT JOB EVERYONE! I would encourage Tellenbach to take an extended vacation to one of these many lovely places!

It seems to me that precisely the reason every industry is in trouble is because the every day worker can't show up to work. Somehow, the "job creators" can't make things work without them.

but if during the closures these businesses go under, those people are in a second world of shit because they won't have a place to return to.

I totally agree with your point as well though, although, I could argue some places are still not caring if people work sick.

I.E. My older brother has been ill and mcdonald's has NOT sent him home. at all. not even once.

We will see. But from what I have seen testing isn't really cheap. Therefore even that 1 week may not be enough to show the real picture.

Oh it's not. $1500-$3000. But they won't be getting tested either.

This is my favorite idiot right wing conservative stupid of the moment (you act stupid you get called stupid). They don't care about anyone but themselves and profit. Fuck the town, fuck the students, fuck the teachers.

Several health insurance companies are waving co-pay and deductibles for covid-19. This will help a lot.

I heard the cost of testing was fake news. Due to "emergency testing" in a pandemic, the costs are waved and or drastically reduced.
