He's not wrong. Social distancing isn't going to do jack shit on an airplane. The extra arm room would be nice, but not putting people in middle seats just seems like a token response that would ultimately accomplish nothing. Actually it would probably be worse, since it might give people a false sense of security. I don't think I've ever gotten on a plane and not gotten sick afterwords. They would have to do something about the endlessly recirculating air first and foremost. Until then we are either flying shotgun with covid, or we are staying home/driving.

If people start flying all over in other airplanes without people in middle seats like it's protecting them from getting sick, we are going to have bigger problems. Calling out that bullshit is a good thing. Be pissed at whoever came up with that silly token response.

There's nothing silly about virus transmission on middle seat armrests, Boris. Do you need to go back into the ICU?

The CEO of Ryanair, one of the world's biggest airlines, says it won't fly if middle seats have to stay empty for 'idiotic' social-distancing rules
Coronavirus: Ryanair won't fly if middle seat empty for distancing - Business Insider

I should start a site for nominating CEOs to be thrown off a cliff.

Yeah, not sure how well known Ryanair and its CEO are in America but here in Europe they have a reputation, to put it mildly. They are cheap, but with a high price. Notoriously terrible employer and nervewreakingly minimalistic service. People swearing to never fly with them again after every flight and then grudgingly returning because of the low prices is a cultural stereotype.

The CEO is known as a... personality.

I am aware of them, they're talked about somewhat. I would never fly on them. What a piece of shit company. I hope that company burns to the ground. What a shining example of the awfulness of late capitalism.

This probably isn't the best example of things being a matter of perspective. In normal cases of the 6 vs 9 confusions, there IS a way to tell which one is right. The reason is, in normal cases, the maker of the 6 or 9 intended a specific number.

For instance, in a parking lot, if the lots next that one were 5 and 7 vs 8 and 10, this would determine who was correct. On a playing card, other markings on the card determine which one is correct.

You can argue that the intention is not what is "correct", but it would make paying for the parking spot or playing cards a much more complicated experience than it needs to be.

It would have been better to use an intentionally ambiguous picture like the bunny/duck or old/young woman picture. The interpretation of post modern art is perhaps also in this category.

However, what is medically true is not just a matter of opinion. What a person did or didn't do at a specific place and time is not a matter of opinion.

Perspective can change things under certain conditions in certain ways, but we can't just make up whatever we'd like to believe for everything and still be considered honest and truthful.

Twitter trends change like, by the minute. It really isn't important to mention it tbh. As it is simply reflective to conversation in that moment, and fades just as quickly.

Uh, yeah it is. Because the president* just adovcated for some of the most idiodic bullshit a human could possibly do.

INJECT BLEACH? Holy good god hell this human being is beyond fucked up. He doesn't understand anything, most importantly he doesn't understand himself or what he represents to people, the world, and the tremendous social impact his words and actions impart.
