Coruscant is the perfect setting for Dungeon Delving Star Wars Roleplaying games. I also think we could get some good Star Wars Noir stories set there too.
Yes. Exploring the lower levels or they cyberpunk stuff we saw in Episode II.

In the Young Han Solo Trilogy by AC Crispen, Han Solo goes down there. It was one of my favorite star wars scenes it was so cool It felt a bit like the sewer scenes in Relic and Reliquary .

I never read those; it probably wouldn't hurt to start. I've only read the Brian Daley Solo trilogy because that was what my elementary school library had.

I probably would have liked the Lord-Miller version of Solo better. At least that would have involved them doing something different. The movie we got has so much pandering and annoying prequel bullshit. I think there's a glimpse of a really good movie we get there; it would center largely around Solo in the imperial military.

I would have liked to see that too. Solo is kind of forgettable to me, often asking questions that no one wanted the answers for as the meat of the film. As opposed to other robots in SW, this droid didn't really feel alive to me, just another quirky knock-off on the idea. It's too bad because I felt like Ehrenreich and Glover were fine in their roles.

Exactly. Like, where did Han get his blaster? Why does the ship's computer speak in a peculiar dialect? So tedious; this is what I meant by annoying prequel bullshit. It was extremely forgettable, in contrast to ROS which was unforgettably awful. Both Glover and Ehrenreich deserved to be in a better movie. We may see more of Glover, at least. I'm hoping we don't get another Obi-Wan, where they bring a big name back only to do something lame with him. That may be a fool's hope.

I'm entertaining the idea of writing a story based in the Legends universe but with things inspired by or borrowed from the sequel trilogy. For instance, a main character would be a former stormtrooper who is Force Sensitive. There's also a female Jedi Knight from Luke's Jedi Temple on Yavin 4 who was once "nobody" who decides to take him on as her first apprentice after turning down past candidates. The Supreme Leader of the Imperial remnant would be Han and Leia's son Jacen (but they have other children in this version, which might pose a problem because I'm not interested in dealing with them, but I'd have to find a reason for why they aren't involved).

Jacen/Ben isn't redeemed here. I'm thinking that the Finn character falls to the dark side out of either a need for revenge or the desire to do good, but gets redeemed. I think the hardest part will be managing things when the Rey character, the Finn character, and the Jacen/Ben character intersect. But I guess that's the climax, which are probably usually difficult.

This has an 80% chance of descending into self-indulgent nonsense should I manage to write it. And if that happens, I would probably not let another soul read it.

Do you think a former stormtrooper might have serve out of trust towards his superiors, or out of fear? Or is it all just a love of cruelty?

I think it was in a major key, so it changes the mood of the song from an oppressive imperial march to an inspired modern work place commercial.

Regarding this question in general. I think the average Imperial citizen just wants the speeders to run on time, and not starve or end up enslaved on the outerrim by the hutts. I'm betting most people in the Empire, didnt know about the Death Star beyond that a bunch of terrorist scum destroyed what was supposed to be a mobile defense station that would have kept entire sectors safe from incursion and terrorists. Most people in the Empire think of it as new and improved republic. A storm trooper obeys orders as instructed because they're soldiers in a military. Most of them probably joined to put themselves through school and travel.

This one works as one of those 1940's movie news reels discussing what The Galaxy's finest are up to "Over there"
The Galactic Empire. Bringing Peace to the Galaxy, one world at a time.
Buy War Bonds! Grow a victory garden! Darth Vader wants you!
Darth Vader gets billed as the hero of Mustafar, who single handedly brought an end to the seperatist wars and exposed the decadent treachery of the Jedi Knights. Wanted posters of every surviving rogue jedi traitor. advertisements where suggesting: "Ever wonder where the terrorist rebels get their money? Well if you do death sticks. Chances are, they got it from you."
D.A.R.E. To keep kids off spice. This is your brain. This is your brain on glitterstim. Any questions? Somewhere out there a picture of Jar Jar Binx wearing a MTRGA cap with a Gungans for Palpatine tshirt exists on the droid link.

A google Image search of Imperial Propaganda posters does not dissapoint, but I'm missing the one of Palpatines face saying: "Change." and "Peace". Don't tell me Palps is opposed to playing both sides of the isle when it comes to propaganda.

I feel like Palps is the kind of nick name the guy who kept lobbying for the Galactic Military Industrial Complex funding building those boondogles the death stars. Literally the Pentagon Wars but with a Star Wars Aesthetic. Kelsey Grammar could even still play the general. "Yes that's billion with a b." I can just see them poolside at Xizor's hotel pool "But let me ask you Palps, havent you ever just wanted to blow up a planet? Because all I'm trying to do for you my guy, is help you make that dream a reality. Now as an all powerful sith lord strong in the dark side of the force, I know you're no stranger to just waving your hand and having your will done. Search your feelings your MAjesty. You know this sale to be true. I'm just one midicholrian in a vast corporate network of the finest defense tech in the galaxy. People are calling me from galaxies far far away trying to get in on what I'm practically giving you. You want to bring peace to the galaxy, I want to bring peace to your mind, that your funding gets you the most kapow for your credits."

Sometimes I can almost imagine a world where ai was used to make movies happen after an actor passed on. I could imagine in this world they released a an animated movie of Shadows of the Empire. An ai could voice the younger versions of deceased actors in their roles. A way to do this more or less ethically in this hypothetical world, would be to pay scale to the estate of the actor or to a charity of said deceased actor's choosing. Though another way to do this would be to hire good impressionists as voice actors. I guess all Im saying is I wish they would make an animated feature of Shadows of the Empire. make it like andor star wars. Xizor would be a fun villain to bring out and dust off.
