ENFPs seem really cool and free spirited at first but they actually only believe what their friends tell them and they are really shallow and do not dig too deeply into subjects that "interest" THEM.

Things need to change, and yes, just like you do not understand me or like me I am none the less right where you are wrong.. This whole thing needs to change.

They talk too much, I just want to put a sock in their mouth. But then again they are so masochistic, so maybe I keep going back for more sadistic stuff towards them. I always feel so neutral when I think of them, but so... annoyed when they don't stop talking.

I really don't want to discuss the mistyped ESFJ... or as it is better know "The People's ENFP" either. And since we are equals I'm not going to ask permission. I am my own dom. And I know you respect that.

I think people got it all wrong

ENTP's and INTJ's are the great combo

ENFP's and INFJ's are the great combo

At least for me. INTJ's are drawn to me like cocaine and the 60's man.

yeah no, personally. Never understood the attraction. Me and Fe in the past was like a major no :C.

For me it's not the Fe, but all the INFJs I've known are so far up their own asses that trying to make them come out of their bubble is like pulling teeth.

LMAOOO well that's been pretty true of the most horrible relationship I've been in with an INFJ. Like I've met some great INFJs and it was cool but this guy, god. He was one of those Ni types that thought he was the shit and mystical and all-knowing. Like get outta here brah plsss

Hi all. New user here. The single greatest attribute that my INTJ makes to my life daily is his inexplicable ability to pull me from my NF loop cycle. He just states something so concise and true that I can't continue overanalyzing. It puts NF in complete halt with his NT. No one has ever been able to do that for me. For instance - My ex was and INFJ. He was great except in that when I flew into my emotional cycle his NF competed with my NF and we both were in a "one-up" power struggle. This is eventually what fortified our great divide. With my INTJ - he is very attentive to my needs in practical ways that I appreciate. He's a doting lovah! <big blinky doe eyes>

Hello, ENFP here. :)
I can't speak for all ENFPs, but I just want to tell you what I've noticed. I find that INTJs are very easy for me to talk to and connect with, whereas, while I have been attracted to an INTP before, I find them a bit intimidating.
I feel very relaxed around INTJs and one of my best friends is an INTJ. If I try hard enough, I believe can get close to INTPs as well, but its scary at first.
I've walked up to INTPs before only to have them look at me funny and walk away before I can even start talking. I know that doesn't apply to all INTPs, because I've also met a very nice and polite INTP.
But for some reason I just feel incredibly at ease with ENFPs, ENTPs, INFJs, and INTJs more than any other types.
I do NOT have antipathy towards INTPs though. Not at all. I really like them, but they're just very hard to get to know and hard to talk to. But when I see them on videos on youtube or something, I find them very likable.
I think that some ENFPs do have antipathy towards INTPs, because INTPs can seem rude or hurtful when they probably just want to be left alone.
Also, I don't try to hold anyone under my 'spell.' I just like people and like making friends, and I want people to like me back. If they don't like me back, then I feel like I failed. And INTPs can be aggravating because they won't stop making me feel like I failed. After all, relationships are what ENFPs do. And if I fail at what I'm best at doing, then I sometimes have the tendency to lose my self-respect. And then I get the tendency to blame the INTP for that, when they didn't actually do anything wrong.
I used to be kind of intimidated by INTJs too. But then I became best friends with an INTJ, and since I now know an INTJ on a personal level, no conversation with INTJs has been anything but comfortable and enjoyable.
I think that if I could get to know just one INTP, then it would be easy to talk to other INTPs as well. That's my goal. I want to feel comfortable when I talk to them.

Do you think some ENFPs prefer INTJs to INTPs because they find them easier to hold under their spell? Why do ENFPs often have antipathy towards INTPs? As an ISFJ, I'm not intellectually capable enough to grasp this for myself.

Keep in mind that I'm not speaking of all ENFPS; I'm only referring to certain individuals within the type. It's a pattern I've noticed with some ENFPs, but because I'm a sensor, I can't really grasp what it means.

I think I'd rather be with an INTP based on type alone. They're a little edgier and Ne buddies are always fun.

Simple anwser....yes. but the more important question is...do ENFPS really know what they prefer enough to make the right choice...lol

It's always a HUGE plus for me to find someone else that uses Ne. It's such a big part of who I am so if I'm around someone where I can't use it, it just makes me feel stifled and not truly myself after too much time with them. I don't have to be around Ne users, but it does make it easier and more fun when I'm rambling off-the-wall jokes and playing around. :)

I can't say that I have a particular type that I gel with, but really, just anyone that allows me to be the goofy person I can be without giving me some look of judgement or disapproval (I kept that weirdness bottled up all throughout middle and high school and it was no fun) and someone that is more grounded in reality to offset the space cadet in me. So far, I don't think there was a particular type that I didn't get along with...

And as far as having someone under my spell, at least personally, I'm not sure what that even means since I've never actively tried to manipulate anyone. Maybe subconsciously? But it's never been an active thought of mine to do so. I like what inspiredpoet said, and I think it gets to the core of ENFPs, in saying "I don't try to hold anyone under my 'spell.' I just like people and like making friends, and I want people to like me back." I don't think any happy and healthy ENFP would ever have any ulterior motives and they really are just that simple of a type. At the end of the day, it's just about making new relationships and being around people. Sharing ideas and perspectives, and talking about the big questions of life and how we're all connected.

So, sure, I could say ENFPs can get along with INTJs, but at this point, I also feel like I can approach any other type and find common ground at least, somewhere.

This is the story of my life! Nobody is able to get through to me like my INTJ can. He knows exactly what to say like he can read my mind.

If I can ask: Do you know anything about the ennegram of your INTJs ? Core, tritype, variant ?

Personality wise I think I prefer INTPs. They are more outside of the box thinkers like me. But Im not sure I could feel physically attracted to one.

INTJs dont impress me. The ones I've met all think they are more clever than they really are, I can usually see right through then and so they bore me fast. In a relationship I probably would prefer an INFJ to an INTJ: Still intellectually stimulating but no intellectual-ego.
