The Eagles are hot garbage. Russell Wilson at his most mediocre right now, and he's still leagues ahead of Carson Wentz.

I imagine Doug Pederson will be gone after this season. Carson Wentz seems like he thrived in Frank Reich's offense in his MVP season -- either that was a flash in the pan or they just aren't calling the right plays for him. Either way, I think Pederson is out and they move forward with Wentz as their QB, and from there we will see what he really is.

The 2021 NFL coaching sweepstakes is gonna be one for the ages. A whole bunch of middle school football coaches about to get their shot in the pros as everyone goes searching for the next Sean Mcvay/Kevin Stefanski/Matt Lafleur

The Rockets trade Russell Westbrook for John Wall and a FRP. John Wall when healthy is an upgrade from Russell Westbrook; he has the same slashing ability with a better 3P%. Key phrase though, "when healthy".

The most exciting part of the new season for me, though, is still Christian Wood and Stephen Silas' coaching. But, my expectations for a championship are significantly lowered after spending the last 3 years in a frenzy of starry-eyed hope. I'm just here to enjoy the journey.

Excessively free agency movement has killed the NBA for me, but I still appreciate you sharing this in the spirit of the thread. I kinda makes me sad, honestly. I love basketball, but this dude here can just NOT abide the insanity that is the current state of free agency. There is no sense of continuity in the NBA at all -- at the end of every season it just seems like they write the names of all the best players onto popsicle sticks and are drawn at random by each of the major market teams in the league.

I feel like going forward, any trade or contract signing approved my Michael Jordan should require him to be drug tested prior to it being accepted by the league. Gordon Hayward is straight stealing money from the good fans of Charlotte.

Truly is crazy how overpaid that guy is, averages 15 points or so a game but grabs 30-32 mill a year...not to mention celtics had no problem winning w/o him

Charlotte waddles in mediocrity while they give role players or stars with low star power contracts beyond their worth. The only one who was worth it was Kemba, but my man had issues staying healthy and they never surrounded him with the right talent.

If you get on Twitter, the evidence of this is the number of Lakers, Heat, Knicks, Celtics, Sixers, and yes, I hate to admit it, Rockets fans who photoshop their respective jerseys on any player that has shows an inkling of discontent lol. Multiply that by 10x when it's a free agent or someone rumored to decline their player option.

Confession: I cursed out today a co-worker of mine who is a devout Laker fan. How the fuck do you pay a 37 year old Lebron James 85 million for two years? Like, his knees have to be at least 60 years old in normal people aging. He HAS to be on HGH to play at the level he's playing at, all while never having sustained a major injury. Either that or he made a blood pact with satan.

More likely he benefits from nutrition, training, conditioning, and other resources not as widely available in previous eras to sustain himself. Like Tom Brady with football. I wouldn't be surprised if LeBron tries to go till 40.

so I can never bring myself to watch sports. I try but they bore me. What I do enjoy are sports documentaries, and movies about sports, whether it's serious shit like rocky, or silly shit like the major league movies. I like Bryant Gumble's HBO sports documentary/news series too

Same. I probably like the documentaries more than the actual games. 30 for 30 is a really good series if you enjoy those types of documentaries.
