Sometimes one day at a time seems like too much.

But I shouldn't complain, I guess.
I mean, I do see evidence of how God has prepared me for this.
He made sure I was provided for financially so I wouldn't be pressured into jumping into a new job right away.

He reminded me of how last year, I bought that extra health insurance for my daughter that we ended up not needing because she was still covered on our plan, but because of the way the doctors did her two procedures on her bile duct and gall bladder, the original insurance company didn't want to cover about $16,000 worth of bills, but the supplementary insurance I had bought for $300 paid the $16,000. So I feel like God protected me, even though at the time, I didn't realize the full impact of what I was doing.

And I feel reassured that as He has already done such things for me in the past, and has brought me this far, He's not going to abandon me now.

"We also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perserverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because of the love God has poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us." (Romans 5:3-5)

Taken from the book Victory Over the Darkeness:
"The word "exult" means heightened joy. To be under tribulation means to be under pressure, and perseverance means to remain under pressure. Persevering through tribulations results in proven character, which is God's goal for us."

"Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurace have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." (James 1:2-4)

Mom- God loves you so much. He has never left you, He is not leaving you, and He will never leave you. He is right there, even when you are feeling so alone...so far away from Him...when His touch feels so distant. That is when He is the closest...stiring something about, so when He finally reveals Himself to you in what feels like an eternity, you are so awestruck by His power that you cannot help but fall into his arms, rejoyce, and never question his faithfulness and devotion to you. Mom, you are loved so deeply by God. Don't you forget it. He watches you everyday with his loving, caring eyes. He has not allowed this trial to come in vain. You are a strong woman of God, and you do not dare think otherwise. Perfection is coming. His perfect plan is prevailing...nothing in this world, including Satan, can block His goal for your life.

Love,
Headstrong...who is proving to be not so headstrong after all. =]
