Which was my point to begin with but apparently some people want to take it to an extreme — pretending there's a position being taken that classifications have no worth or are unnecessary. I never took that position. And if anyone thinks I did, that's on them for being obtuse.

Woah, calm down. Were you replying to me or to someone you initiated a no-contact request against? If it's the former, I was just explaining why I find value in classifying music. If it's the latter, you probably shouldn't do that and hide behind a reply to me as a way to cover up what you're doing.

See what I mean? It never ends. No one isn't calm. And here we have yet another conspiracy theory in your post - that someone is "doing something" just like when you accuse me of saying something that has been posted by Tellenbach because you can't keep posts straight or the positions people take on issues who post here. Or you send me crazy rep comments imagining what my posts mean when they mean no such thing. And if there's a no-contact with a member, I'm the one who initiated it. For example, I have a no-contact with someone but he directly quotes my posts almost every day. Do I care about it? No. I think he has shit for memory and doesn't even remember I initiated a no-contact with him since it was so long ago.

Stir up the shit somewhere else.

If you don't want to reply to what is actually in my post, it wouldn't be the first time. It's just your usual m.o. Red herring after red herring . . .

This intro:

Is a shitty knockoff of this intro:

Mr. Probz can sing, the other guy sounds like a nightmare-hip-hop-autotune-abortion-on-wheels.

I’m not really sure why this one isn’t stickied but then there seems to be no real rhyme or reason to which threads the moderators decide to sticky. Random movie thoughts and Guilty Pleasure music threads are stickied but this thread is not. Go figure.

Anyway, this bass line is amazing

How soft the breeze through the island trees,
Now the ice is far astern.
Them native maids, them tropical glades
Is a-waiting our return.
Even now their big brown eyes look out
Hoping some fine day to see
Our baggy sails runnin' 'fore the gales
Rolling down to old Maui.

Jeez, how full of himself is Sting? Just watched the Brand New Day video and he literally appears in the sky like some messianic figure. What sort of colossal douchebaggery is this? Get over yourself. No wonder Summers and Copeland couldn't stand him when The Police were a band.

I've been listening to lots of blues lately, especially Howlin' Wolf. I started with Chicago blues, and now I'm doing more acoustic Delta blues.
