Germany is evidently having a identity crisis. The standard strategy is to ignore the far right but how do you ignore the second most popular party, which may even take first place in a month of two. Since judging by the graph the momentum is evidently there. Plus they are starting to win local elections and ignoring communities where they won isn't really much of a strategy. Especially since that will backfire almost surely.
