God, I can't stand the Saints (personal bias: some family members I find obnoxious and toxic are fans lol), but I am *really* averse to seeing Tompa Bay get lucky and progress to the CC.

I hate the saints because Bounty gate, their whiny coach, and Jameis Winston is on their bench

cue: Jameis Winston is a criminal and shouldn't be on any team period point blank. Moaning isn't consent.

This was Jazzy's soapbox hatred of Jameis Winston.

All I know is there would have been a lot more slime cannons at the Browns/Steelers game.

Colin Cowheard has many dumbass shit takes. More than I can even count over the years.

That just feels like a desperate grasp at straws because he just won't admit he was wrong about Baker. XD

reminder though: this guy said Sam Darnold was the pick of the draft.

Steelers WR Chase Claypool says Browns are going to get 'clapped' by Chiefs

Man, Pittsburgh's players just can't stand that this isn't your same ol' Browns team. Not a good look after Juju's previous comments and subsequent lost, even if it was taken out of context a bit. That said, I can't say I would be completely shocked if the Browns pulled an upset of that caliber. They've been really successful against the the upper-tier teams this year, and they're red hot right now coming off their first playoff win since 1995 (Coached by Bill Belichick against his former sensei Bill Parcells).

Resting your team is a double-edged sword; it can be great to give your guys a rest and keep them healthy, but this team hasn't played a game in two weeks and could possibly have a little rust in the early part of the game. At this point Cleveland is gambling with house money anyway-- nobody expects them to win, and the momentum is entirely on their side. I'd love to see it. I'm all in on a Bills v Browns AFC championship game.

Can we at least admit Cowherd is better than Doug Gottlieb? He's at least better than him. Doug Gottlieb is Colin Cowherd without the far-reaching analogies and smidgeon of charm that makes them palatable, yet all the equally shitty takes. Also, Will Cain sucks really bad, too. For some reason he always strikes me as if his destiny was to head the Florida chapter of The Young Republicans, yet somehow he chose to forsake fate and ended up doing shitty sports commentary instead.

Edit: I like Rob Parker so I'm probably not even actually qualified to be assessing sports commentators.

Will Cain is a shit stain and belongs exactly where he is currently - on Fox News. Dunno what ESPN was thinking. He wasn't a sports guy or a journalist - he's a fucking right wing lawyer. Stay in your lane.

Doug Gottlieb is a dumbass but compared to Colin Cowherd, he's a husk.

Jason Whitlock, Clay Travis and most of Barstool Sports go without saying.

Is he really!?!? Man, that guy just had that right-wing media smugness quality about him. They tried to shove him onto First Take and it was very clear he wasn't a fit.

It's very clear that Will Cain and people like him do not believe in sticking to sports.

He's very cool with saying the election was stolen though..

Placeholder post for 2 years from now when Jacksonville underperformed in consecutive seasons and he retires again citing "health reasons". At least he'll look good in the baby blue during the London games while he's vacillating between being real extra on the sidelines and violently trying to catch his breath.

General Napissimo

You need to get your league under control. The NBA is W-I-L-D. First off, contracts in the NBA aren't worth the paper they're written on -- not happy? Make a media spectacle while also being a shitty teammate and you'll be rewarded by landing in the destination you've dictated to the front office that you want to go to! Also, have you ever seen such a group of overpaid divas? All it takes is ONE max contract to obtain generational wealth. There's so much money floating around that players can afford to turn down 5-year/232-million Supermax contracts, and they routinely do!

Second, teams mean absolutely nothing. Absolutely no continuity in that league whatsoever. As a fan, I don't even see how you can be invested in the teams versus the players, unless fans are just as easily sold as to root for nameless grey faces which rotate in and out of a familiar logo. Seriously, the players give not one shit or have one iota of investment in your city/team, routinely display that.

I hope the chickens come home to roost badly for the players in the next collective bargaining agreement, as they've completely run rampant and thus are running the league into the ground.

All that said, I'm glad they got James Harden's outta here. That dude sucks as a person. He had to get all but shamed publicly to help the city that has given him so much during Hurricane Harvey. That dude is a leech. Houston literally gave him everything he ever wanted, and when they leveraged their future too many times and had nothing more they could possibly give, he throws a tantrum and wants to leave. That epitomizes the state of the Lebron James, player empowerment, fuck the fans and everyone else, we got ours, NBA.

When that guy goes away, basketball will be so much better, yet the effects of his tenure will last for several generations of players.

*takes a deep breath*

Sorry for the rage. I just needed to get that off my chest.
