When you see your own behavior in other people, you don't like it. Bless your heart.![]()

Thats PPP. GDP is about the same as 2010.
You poor soul really believe I am jobless? How desperate. I am quite sure my job is both more secure and more prosperous than yours. You are right, though, in that I do not run my own business: I work in academic management.Oh you mean because it's arrogant and presumptuous? Yeah I'm not a fan of that either, but look who I'm talking to. It's the only language he understands- and as an expert communicator (if you recal our earlier discussion) that's the one I'm obligated to use.![]()
That was bait. I'm not actually as presumptuous as all that, but I knew your arrogance would compel you to defend yourself. My actual guess was that you were still in college- one of those academia world addicts that could never quite make the transition into the real world. Turns out I wasn't far off the mark, though you're older than I thought. Thank you for divulging. Everything about you makes complete sense now. I used to have a desk job myself, and I think you and I have a lot more in common than we can admit. It's never too late to challenge yourself, you're more capable and inheritly valuable than you give yourself credit for deep down. You poor soul really believe I am jobless? How desperate. And I am working class in a blue collar job. I just paid off my car due to all this money I got on my Tax returns this year. Trump hss done nothing but make my life easier. I honestly feel like I am rich with only a annual incomd of 26k. My BF makes 31k. Life is great. Can't wait to make my self sustaining garden this year too.
I am really curious how this will work out. (I really am)

Think of it this way. Money doesn't mean it works. American education is a good example. It has a lot if funding, but is absolute shit. Throwing money at it and expecting it to improve is naive, and unfortunately a common solution offered. The same applies for pretty much everything else run by the government. Which is why reform is more important, so they are not throwing away money based on 100 year old policy that isn't even relevent.
Education has a good funding ? In the case you guys have a "free college" I would perhaps buy this claim. Just throwing money on problems is bad idea but if you remove funding the problems are even less likely to be fixed. While Education is literally the last thing you should cut, since cutting here almost surely means that literally all other things will suffer down the road.
Cutting EPA for a third without socialized medicine is also a very questionable long term logic.
Nothing this administration does is logical. There are all kinds of people on the boards of PUBLIC schools looking to funnel fed and state funds from public to private/charter schools as well as others just dying to privatize all education in the US.

Since you are usually wrong in your assessments about me (and are so again here), I can see why you would think we have a lot in common. That was bait. Its due to bureaucratic bullshit etc. Usa spends nearly double on administrative fees and costs in both medicine and education vs other countries. It is the reason things are so expensive. They abuse loopholes in student aid snd other subsidies.
However I really don't understand the mindset of these people. With what exactly should America remain the dominant power in the world ? Their holy goal is to destroy systems that are creating or at least should create quality. What then locks huge parts of the population from being productive as their piers overseas. My conservative PM was recently bragging how he increased the pay in education for 18% since the start of the term (but he is a commie by American standards). I mean bad education is almost a foundation of all large trade deficits and that will only increase as a factor as the tech. level is going up.
Their mindset is profit. This is late stage capitalism - the tatics will only get worse. Idiots will blame bureaucracy and shrug but they've not took 30 seconds to look into it. They do get to complain constantly and spew half truth and bullshit on any subject though, so they have that going for them. All goes back to a lack of education.
BTW there are NO loopholes in student loans or Federal Student Aid. None. One loan type is secured, one is unsecured, you pay back whatever lender holds the loan, refinance if you can. And Trump is looking to make those harder to discharge with public service.

Can you imagine being 7 or 8 years into this? I don't hear Trumptards screaming about military service getting free educations, this is no different. It's the reason I left the nonprofit sector.
