Video of Pelosi brings renewed attention to 'cheapfakes' The issue of misleading political messages on social media has arisen again, as President Donald Trump tweeted an edited video showing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi repeatedly tearing up his State of the Union speech as he honored audience members and showed a military family reuniting. Pelosi did tear the pages of her copy of the speech — but only after it was finished, and not throughout the address, as the video depicts.
Pretty brilliant highlight of how stupid tearing up that speech was, since it included all the parts trumps team edited out here.

Stupid? It rendered the speech itself meaningless, except for telling the world what it was worth. All the coverage was about Pelosi. That is why Trump is so furious. It really was a Trumpian act: Do something outrageous and capitalize on the attention.

And here I thought it just told the world that she was just as childish as him, and that there are no grown ups left to save anyone- which has been the Democrats pitch since trump came to office. "We are the mature adults in the room, you can trust us!" Nope. Just go ahead and squander that whole angle for potential 2020 defectors. So stupid. I don't know at which point it was exactly that Pelosi completely threw in the towel on working to replace Trump this next election, but she's been on a crusade ever since (maybe just before the impeachment thing?) of merely offering handjobs to her base. She must be worried about reeelection, or something else that's more important to her than ousting Don.

Well, you are wrong a lot...

Nobody and no country outside the US conservative media bubble has any doubt as to who and which party can be trusted to stabilize the US.

Sorry, I misspoke. When I said "the world" I was referring to Americans. I have a bad habit of linking other countries' relevance with whether or not they exist at all, which in the case of American life and politics amounts to very little.

Yeah, a common mistake among people with no idea how the American economy works.

Today, there are 4 US corporations that have over $1 trillion in assets:

Microsoft
Amazon
Google
Apple

Weird, huh?

Me? I don't mistake my own business for a representation of the national economy.
You don't have a business in the American economy. I'd be surprised if you had a buisness (or job) at all in whatever lesser local economy you herald from.

I guess you could argue that being an internet troll is kind of a buisness with the potential to reach American markets, though you'd effectively be working for Donald trump if that's the case- since that's all any undecided American is going to want to do after reading your posts.

That pic you posted has nothing to do with whether or not he has a business or job "at all".
Oh you mean because it's arrogant and presumptuous? Yeah I'm not a fan of that either, but look who I'm talking to. It's the only language he understands- and as an expert communicator (if you recal our earlier discussion) that's the one I'm obligated to use. :newwink:

When you see your own behavior in other people, you don't like it. Bless your heart. ;)
