That seems like little change from past trends. Dems have never been great about participating in primaries and mid-terms. Then the ones who didn't vote in primaries get mad when people like Terry McAuliffe and Nancy Pelosi continue to be nominated for offices. It doesn't help matters that many saw right through the DNC games of 2016 and 2020. Why participate in an obviously rigged game? I know "rigged game" is a Trump talking point, but it's not entirely wrong to call the current electoral system for what it's become.
It's not wrong but it's not in the way Trump thinks. Remember how he told the SoS from Georgia to - "find me 12,000 more votes"? These GOP fuckheads are completely terrified of getting caught and going to prison so they'll do everything legal, up to and including changing the laws to suit them, including asking for blanket pardon in advance because they are all part of a crime syndicate.
The actual "rigging", at least for the Dems, is in leadership - DNC, DCCC and DSCC - they rig themselves. See Bernie Sanders.
I actually see people talking about JB Pritzker much more now. He has a lot of plusses.
NOT elderly (I think he's a bit older than me so mid 50's), which is at the heart of a lot of issues with the Dems.
Doesn't come off as a smug shit liberal or psychopathic Republican
Is like a fucking unicorn in the sense of appealing to progressives and garden variety Dems
Thus far, I like what he's doing/saying, he did pretty good with COVID too. He's not my gov but IL would be in the Great Lakes Khanate if we were to Balkanize so I pay attention.
He's a BIG boy. Fetterman/Pritzker ticket would be amazing looking, on size alone.
Of course much remains to be seen but he's talking a good game at the moment. Fetterman just owns Dr. Oz on a daily basis, it's delightful.
