So, King's finally been punted in the Iowa GOP primary by Feenstra. Out with the racist, in with the C19 denialist. *sigh*

I was just going to say - the guy that won isn't much better. Plus the GOP is a crime syndicate so it doesn't matter.

“There was nothing that was gonna keep me from voting today, even during a pandemic and with a curfew,” said Paul Griffing, who put his ballot in a drop box near City Hall.

Vote, baby. Vote.

they should really just make this permanent. Government and utility companies send and receive sensitive information in the mail all the time. No reason mailing ballots should be any different.

The Pentagon has signaled. They're not going to back Trump up if he tries to use them against the American people!

Well, that's a relief. At least we can cross civil war off the list.
For now.

The military is a last resort for dire situations where what's happening isn't even close to that point. It's why general after general has gone public, lambasting and tearing into Trump.

Don't buy that. Military contractors are considered critical infrastructure by the Pentagon for COVID, they absolutely will be to provide force against Americans. Gen. Mark Milley has indulged Trump up to this point, I expect that to continue.

That's impressive, the ability to predict errors by the gubmint.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/busi...ort-misclassification-error/#comments-wrapper

A ‘misclassification error’ made the May unemployment rate look better than it is. Here’s what happened.

When the U.S. government’s official jobs report for May came out on Friday, it included a note at the bottom saying there had been a major “error” indicating that the unemployment rate likely should be higher than the widely reported 13.3 percent rate.

The special note said that if this “misclassification error” had not occurred, the “overall unemployment rate would have been about 3 percentage points higher than reported,” meaning the unemployment rate would be about 16.3 percent for May.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics, the agency that puts out the monthly jobs reports, said it was working to fix the problem.

“BLS and the Census Bureau are investigating why this misclassification error continues to occur and are taking additional steps to address the issue,” said a note at the bottom of the Bureau of Labor Statistics report.

Yeah errors happen, especially since the Coronavirus is unprecedented. Errors in information gathering and how to classify certain types of layoffs would mess up the data. For example, plenty of people at my work were "laid off" for 2 weeks. They were not getting paid, but they were still technically employed. They did this by choice, and came back as soon as the lockdown was over like they never left.

Still, things are looking optimistic as the country opens back up. The error also doesn't account for the news jobs being created in various sectors as a result of the corona virus, such as medical fields. I expect June to cut the number significantly, if the lock downs cease completely. Hopefully we will be back to 3% by the end of the year.

It appears that Dorsey's had enough of Trump. If this continues, I might even join Twitter in support of his actions.

I always wonder if people can say their politics were ever really influenced by a single book or series of books.

White House adds fencing around perimeter

He finally got his wall. Good for him.

He already built the wall. It's in our HEARTS. The true believers in the church of secular leftism are too brainwashed to understand that he meant that from the beginning.

He even wrote a song about it!

The rumor that it was Pink Floyd is FALSE. He clearly states in the song "Mother should I run for President?" Why would an English band say President and not Prime Minister. Use critical thinking people!
