The only right wing types I’ve met who generally seem on board with police reform are a few libertarian types. Even a lot of self-labeled ones seem all too comfortable with just leaving the police as is. They’ve probably never been unlawfully stopped. Once a white person has dealt with a sliver of what black people deal with (I.e. bullshit traffic stops, unlawful police entry into their homes), they are a lot more likely to get on board with reforming the police

I’d like more media coverage of white victims of police misconduct, not necessarily because I think it affects them as much, but because it might get more white people to support reform in the justice system. BLM can’t do it alone and I know this might piss some off but they are going to need the help of a large plurality of white people if they ever really want the numbers to push any real reforms through

Also, this whole BLM emphasis really in some ways is making it more about anger and revenge and wanting whites to suffer as they have suffered, "good, now you can know what it's like" than actual pursuit of equality. People are fighting for blacks, not fighting against discrimination. So who's really missing the point here by making it about black lives rather than equality as a whole?

Proabably the same people who "miss the point" of maintaining good health overall, just because they expect the dentist to focus on their teeth.
