kk, let's play.

Where I use an X, it rarely represents an "I don't know" or "neither", but more often a "both". These are sharp spots, not foggy ones.

Rate of X's: 14%

Your e-type came out as 6w5, and your tritype is 6>1>4.
By the way, taking the percentage of your X's is known as being "data rational," a characteristic held by types 6 and 1 (but seldom by type 4).

Yeah, I like this idea a lot more than 1-to-1 test items.

Your score was a tie between 5 and 8, so I'll use the type you've already listed. You have 8w9 listed as your type, but your score on the 9 scale was very low. I would suggest that 8w7 is your type, based solely on this test. Your 7 score was 46, but your 9 score was only a 9.
Your tritype came out to 854.

Mal12345 I'll participate (goodness knows I love this stuff!). I find your comment about each question correlating to more than one type, interesting. I can see how that might be (same behaviors/themes, different motivations?) but would love to know more.

I used more X's than I expected! I wonder if you are taking instincts into account (which I find a far more important distinction than tritype). For instance, SP 1's often type as a 6's if instincts aren't factored in. Just a thought. Interesting work, thanks for sharing! :D

Also, I agree with Nixie about the meaning of my X's, more "both" dependent on the context, than an "I don't know".

I'm interested in more work being done to validate the instinctuals as a real and objective form of typology. But they don't form any part of this particular test. As for your score, you came out as a 7w8. Your tritype is 784. Your second highest type with wing is 8w7. Maybe you can use instinctuals to find out why 7 was your highest score.

I'm trying to use this test to overcome a problem with enneagram tests in general, but so far it's not working out. 8 is still being over-represented, while 2 is being under-represented. This test needs more work.

"I prefer to follow my own approach," which you scored Yes on, can be considered a headstrong 8 trait.

Yeah, that one was on the verge of an X for me though I went with yes because I am, in general, bad with direct unsolicited commands (but I don't have issues with taking advice that I've sought out.) Interesting that 8 is overrepresented ... I don't really identify with 8 very much, like I said.

So I didn't whimp out and select X for any answers. I'm giving you all Ys and Ns so you have more to work with.

Fun test, btw.

You certainly did not wimp out, because you scored highest on the 3 aggressive/assertive types of the enneagram, 8, 7, and then 3. Take into account that 8 is over-represented on this test. But its very close to your self-reporting of 7w8.

Yeah sometimes i just want to break stuff.

I enjoyed the test though, I hope to see more like this.

I've made some adjustments to the scoring key and I will rescore the tests.

Sure, I'll bite. Let me know if there are too many Xs.

After recalculating your results with the updated score key, you got 6w5 as your primary type. Your tritype came to 6w5 9w1 2w1.

Thanks!

After adjusting the score key, I now have 4w5 as your primary result. Your tritype is 4w5 6w5 9w1.

EDIT: decrescendo I just spotted another comment you made, and so I readjusted your result. 4w5 and 6w5 are the same. But 9w1 is now 1w9. 461.

21lux You scored 6w5. I imagine 6w7 is the correct type for you, but you did have a lot of X's. I need to analyze the results further.
Based on the rest of the scales, you would then be the 6w7 9w1 4w5 tritype.

So I analyzed your results and explanations and came up with the following:
14. I would change "I am modest" from an X to a Y.
49. I would change from an X to Y.
28. I would change from an X to a Y.
61. should change from X to a Y.

Your score is still 6w5 after making these 4 adjustments.

21lux After changing the score key I still got 6w5 as your primary type. 6w5 9w1 4w5 is your tritype.

Bring it! I already know my tritype, but I want to see what results from this.

Yes, I know I gave some contradictory answers...I can explain if needed.

Mal I'm being distracted from problems by how awesome this is.

I can't wait to submit my answers although aside from a couple of positive outlook adjustments my answers are nearly identical to senza tema's so I may be 8w7

If there's someone that could construct a (more) reliable e-test I think you could do it so I hope you continue with this project.

This looked so interesting that I had to post and try it out for myself.

But before I do, Mal12345, there are some questions where my behavior and thoughts/preferences are at odds. Is there a particularly way you would like those answered?
