I depise Zach Snyder and almost anything he touches. His rape fantasies don't pass for movies, imo.

Daredevil.... ruined by the worst actor ever, Ben Affleck, and bad writing. So very very bad.

Has Ben Affleck ever starred in a good movie, ever?

I just looked through his IMDB records, and the best I saw was "Good Will Hunting", which was a pretentious piece of crap in my opinion (but apparently won a couple Oscars - being pretentious is a good tactic for winning Oscars).

Oh I know! Frankly, he didn't ruin that movie bc he wasn't allowed leading man status. The pretentiousness killed the movie for him. And "Argo" is a good movie, but not bc of his acting. The part called for extreme understatement which was basically a cover for his incurably awful wooden delivery. In "Gone Girl" you root for the psycho wife and hope she kills him simply bc he's that mopey and irritating, with his generic dudeness and squishy bread loaf face. I loved his "take" on being blind Daredevil by crossing his eyes. What in the actual hell! How did that make it to the screen?

Ugh! I even had a dream recently where he was trying to be friends with me and I'm like "I'll never be your friend, Ben Affleck! Go away! Booooo!" Hahahahaha!

It must really kill him that his brother Casey is actually talented. Lol

Ben Affleck was good in "Gone Girl," although it was in part because he was conforming to the public perception of his image and character.
He also did well enough in Good Will Hunting and Chasing Amy. Might have been one more.

But he's not really a top-tier actor, and I think he's had more misses than hits as far as acting goes.

Ugh! I even had a dream recently where he was trying to be friends with me and I'm like "I'll never be your friend, Ben Affleck! Go away! Booooo!" Hahahahaha!

I'm recalling now, the Johnny Depp Lone Ranger movie was really, really lame imo.

Dazed and Confused is a good film but Affleck's role was a minor one.

I'd stay far away from M. Night Shyamalan's "The Visit"; yes it is suspenseful but the ending is disgusting.

I finally watched Hateful Eight last night. I have been a Tarantino fan since watching Reservoir Dogs in its original running.

I can not say how much I hate this waste of time. So awful. I had read the excuses that it failed due to Tarantino's activism. Such is a just an excuse. Tarantino appears to have gone the way of M. Night.....

If you haven't watched it, avoid it like the plague.....

I saw it this weekend too. I consider it Tarantino's weakest film to date -- more like a hobby script than one of his better efforts. he didn't really need to make this movie. The ending was weak, and much of it was just a showcase for Samuel L. Jackson doing his soliloquy schtick.

I will say, though, that the visuals and soundtrack were wonderful. I was pretty amazed by the hues and textures and lighting and framing; and Morricone's score was great. Too bad you actually need a movie AKA story worth telling to make a movie.

The other two Matrix movies (horrible, horrible, gag)

Equilibrium (glad it was mentioned already)

Prometheus (as a ridley scott fan this was a huge disappointment)

The Da Vinci Code (terrible movie to go with an even worse book)

The Paper Chase (if you like early pretentious navel-gazing hipsterism, this movie is for you)

Snowpiercer (what a preachy load of crap... started out as an interesting fantastical concept, left for dead 15 minutes in by plot)

Fant4stic had the best possible cast for the parts, but then was just completely waisted and shat on. They could've done amazing things with Miles Teller as Mr. Fatastic and the one and only Kate Mara as The Invisible Woman but they just ruined it.

This movie been mentioned several times already, but it's baffling to me how Crash got so much acclaim when it was released. The dialogue is so formulaic and unrealistic, to a cringe-worthy degree, and the whole thing just feels manipulative and melodramatic and not actually insightful about race relations at all.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe had some amazing movies. Unfortunately, Iron Man 2 was not one of them. It sucked

Only slightly off-topic, some people are saying that this is Johnny Depp's best performance ever:

(Context: they tried to illegally smuggle their dogs into the country. This video is part of their punishment.)

After Earth. The absolute WORST father-son film ever created, Will Smith could do better.
