It doesn't matter how "innocent" anything is. What matters is whether something is true or not. Without thinking out the idea fully, how can you know?

I don't know how you figure that one out. Any theory that gets affirmative results in experiments is probably true, no matter who came up with it or why.

Could you define what "Science" or "Truth" are, according to your point of view?

I have no idea what you meant by that...

The truth is the big picture - everything, even what will never be known.

Science is a system we use to find out as much about the truth as we can be justified in believing.

And that's it really, in it's simplest terms.

Why am I an Idealist/Believer? I've never been 100% sure about ANYTHING lol.

It seems like if it were up to the NFJ types we would all be making the same amount of money and everything would be free. Why is it that so many NFJ's constantly think of people that want to get as much money as possible for themselves as "selfish"? What's up with that? I'm assuming it's the Fe?

Have you ever read Noam Chomsky? Definitely not a Fe approach to questioning aspects of Capitalism. He is a hardcore INTP. I don't subscribe to any ideology, so I don't think everyone should be paid exactly the same and everything free, etc., but I do think there are some inherent flaws in Capitalism.

I've found, at least around these parts, that that applies more to the FPs than FJs. That's just based off personal interaction though. I think it would be tough to establish a broader trend either way.

I don't know how you use the term, but I think part of the problem is that capitalism means different things to different people. To some, it means the corporatized, government-supported economy we seem to have in the United States. To others, it basically means a free market. I personally advocate as free a market as possible, but am strongly against government support for corporations, or any organization for that matter. Providing corporate welfare is one of the worst mistakes a government can ever make.

I don't think it's selfish to want to make a lot of money, but I do think it's selfish to keep it all for yourself. If you're a millionaire and you know that there are people in America who don't even get three meals a day, much less a decent place in which to live, I think you should think about that and maybe, out of the goodness of your heart, help them.

I like getting some shitloads of cash, but I don't think it's right for anyone to live in poverty and by no means do I like capitalism. I'm not a socialist either, though, just a leftie and sometimes an anarchist. And setting all that cash in piles aside, I would never live in a mansion. Not even a house... An apartment. I have nothing against capitalism, I realise it's largely responsible for creating (and perhaps was also a creation of, depends on your point of view) the Industrial Revolution and subsequently, exponential growth in technology which we all take for granted today.

Of course free-market economics isn't perfect. The issue I have is ironic in a way: that in a total free market, over time some players will come to dominate and thus undermine balance in a system which they originally profited from (which is what we see today, with massive conglomerates). So I disagree with libertarians in that you do need to create a counterweight, a watchman of sorts to manage the market. I guess this comes down to human fallibility and selfishness...we always want more.

In my opinion, society is too immoral (or rather selfish) to allow perfect communism or socialism to work. Government can work only as so far as the people obey it. Welfare has been abused, and only some deserve it.

However if we can find some system to implement education more into people's homes, that wouldn't be bad.

I think it would be cool to find a way to build a volunteer socialist community. Like you could find a place somewhere, not sure where, but anyway, all the wealthy people who believed in socialism and were willing to do whatever they do for a living that makes them that wealthy, could get together, build modest, decent homes in which they would also live, and other people as well, who didn't make as much money but who would be willing to help others with the money they did make. Then also have people under a certain income level live there as well. Those people might either be disabled, or perhaps unskilled or have other issues, but could contribute in some way to that community. They could grow food or maintain gardens, make useable crafts, artists could paint and sell their work, etc. But it would be a place where everyone was treated equally, everyone respecting one another, no one wealthier than another. Everyone contributing something, whatever they could. My dream.
