Well, I'm on an enneagram-related forum with a blog option, and I'm having some major revelations because of my recent enneagram typing. It's having a major impact on my life. I want to chronicle it here, but I'm not sure I'll actually make the time to do this, considering I'm also writing a novel. We shall see.

I was sitting by a beautiful creek, listening to music in headphones, and reliving some memories that my enneagram journey was kicking up. I took this picture to remember the moment by:

Sitting in nature at a scenic place like that is the perfect setting to bring out memories and profound thoughts. I try to do that often too.

Does the creek empty into a pond or river there?

Across the street from me is a bean field, and several hundred yards beyond that is what seems like an endless horizon of woods. The woods are just close enough that I can see the shapes of the tree trunks, and the many deer which stay near the edge to graze in the field. The bean field itself is somewhat scenic for me because I've always lived in the suburbs. Now, I live in a small neighborhood, but it's in the middle of a rural area. Before that, I lived in a house with a small stream/ravine, and sometimes saw beavers, blue herons, ducks, and even otters sledding down the bank in the snow once. There are some hilly areas about an hour away which I like to hike in, and there are several waterfalls there. I also like to go backpacking (it's non-stop scenery!), and I typically do that in the mountains/wilderness of West Virginia.
