How are these two songs so different?

If I play the top at 0.75 speed and the bottom at 1.25 speed, they seem closer to each other...but still pretty different.

The second is just a cover or arrangement of the first.

How about these:

We should have a thread comparing different versions of the same songs.

• In arrangement.
• The cover lead sings harmony rather than melody, through a lot of it.
• Subjectively, the cover's better than the original, lol.
