So....my knowledge on the enneagram system is really limited. What exactly are the things at the top (Perfectionism, Helpfulness, Image Focus etc.) meaning what is their relation to each type?
Consider yourself an ISTJ E1 for now, and just research the differences between 1 and 5, or 1 and 6. I think you can easily find this info at Personality Cafe if a quick google doesn't turn out with any results. I wouldn't disregard any type for you just yet though, it's important to learn each type's core, so that you know where you stand. And just as Uwace said, they are describing the most dominant characteristic for each type.
