Don't think of the children. Think of the money. Children may be the future, but money spends now.We care about CEOs but not kids, I guess.

... Thirteen states reported high or very high levels of flu-like illness last week, about double from the week before. One is Tennessee, where a sickness spike is hitting the Nashville area, said Dr. William Schaffner, an infectious diseases expert at Vanderbilt University.
“Flu has been increasing, but just this last week has exploded,” Schaffner said. He noted that in a local clinic that serves as an indicator of illness trends, as many as a quarter of the patients have flu symptoms.
Louisiana is another early hot spot.
“Just this week is really that turning point where people are out because of the flu," said Dr. Catherine O’Neal, an infectious diseases doctor at the largest private hospital in the state, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. "You hear parents saying, ‘I can’t come to work because of the flu’ and ‘Where can I get a flu test?’”...
Wow, yeah, that bites.Party City is Going Out of Business
I think the noteworthy part is simply how they seemingly blindsided their employee base (especially at corporate) by providing positive messaging until the shutdown and then just booted them without benefits or severance.
So I use Duck Duck Go as a browser on most of my machines so I don't see much in the way of ads. I don't have a FB account or a Twitter account anymore. I'm not looking at news of any kind on my computers. As soon as I open MS Edge, I get Fox News ads, ads for right wing apparel, gun accessories and Black Rifle Coffee (right wing company), Prager U Kids (JFC) and this place I've never heard of;I use ground news to track how ads for news sources skew for me. I use an ad blocker for most of my old machines. But I like to get a guage on what my user profile might be occasionally.
I don't know if Google has been skewing ads for people in the US. I used get what I judge as balanced news feeds through ads. Both my wife and I have started to see a skew rightward on the political ads being served.
YouTube is easily the worst. I've been getting frustrated just trying to watch the 5-8 channels i might regularly watch, some of the ads are obnoxious in addition to being a forced 30-60 seconds. I might as well be watching regular TV again.I have You Tube Premium which at $14/mo is incredible. Because those ads are off the rails.
The vulnerability in the DOGE.gov website stems from an exposed database that allows unauthorized individuals to make entries directly on the live site. Two coders have already exploited this security flaw, leaving messages such as "THis is a joke of a .gov site" and "THESE 'EXPERTS' LEFT THEIR DATABASE OPEN -roro" visible to the public12.
The traitor tots apparently don't understand how COBOL works either.
