I'll take Jared Goff today over Matt Ryan, Ryan Tannehill, Derek Carr, Carson Wentz, Tua. My point is there is a place for Goff as a starter in this league, just not at his current contract. He could go to Chicago right now and immediately be better than Foles or Trubisky. He can go start right now in New Orleans (assuming brees is retiring), Miami, Jacksonville, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh. Honestly, Pittsburgh is where he could be plugged into and immediately make them a team that could compete for a championship.

The only one in that list I may defend including Goff, is Tannehill. He wildly surprised me.

Also gonna have to object here - I think the rams bought him a system and I don't think he will immediately plug in to any of these places besides New Orleans possibly.

They bought him a team and he made it to a superbowl, lol. ESPN, fantasy leagues, and an abundance of sports commentary shows have ruined fan's perceptions of what success is in the NFL. Tom Brady's success is an absolute outlier and lots of very good quarterback don't ever win one Superbowl. If the NFL worked back then how the NFL works now, Marino and Elway would've been considered busts and traded like 5 different times apoece.

That's like people in San Francisco who are calling for Jimmy G's head when they are 25-8 when he's on the field. Jimmy's problem is he is basically Mister Glass from the Unbreakable series, but he is a very good quarterback when he is on the field.

Im frustrated that i was a couple of years too early to get free Chinese classes in uni. I dont like their accent but its a culturally rich language. I wanted to see if i would get hooked using the lesson as an excuse to get into it. Now i have to be interested enough to spend time to start researching chinese alone and thats the tough part. I can only learn languages by exposure or atleast my interest is refined that way.
Guess i ll have to wait till they dominate my local market.

EDIT: omg i thought this was the random thought thread. Not a sports related one. Bruh

Give credit to the Warriors, they're giving their young guys confidence, especially Draymond. One thing I give him props for is leadership and observational abilities related to the game. I can ease up on my Warriors hate a little bit now that my Rockets' playoff chances are meh.

I got a bad feelin' that asshole Brady is going to win. I can feel the narrative they've been building on the Tom Brady suck-fest over the last few weeks. I feel it....deep down in my plums...

What's up with Mahomes getting off that plane in Tampa wearing 'ruby slippers'? ;)

In this journey, there is no final destination.
There is only the next one.

In the pursuit of perfection, the only thing that counts is the journey itself. The pursuit itself.
And those who give their lives to it, this moment and the focus required to seize it, this fight and the commitment required to face it.

Because there’s no such thing as perfect. There is only the relentless pursuit of perfection.

That is our cause. That is what makes us a team. And that is why we’re still here.

So, once more into the fray. To live and die on this day.

I'm sitting here typing, briefly turn to look out my glass door on the left, and there he is: A deer. Staring right at me. Moments like that, you just can't get enough of them.

Buccaneers takes an early lead and holds on for "deer" life? Is this an official prediction?? Oh god. The deer is an agent of the prophecy of Brady's 7th ring. Kill me now.....
