Another neoconservative rambling about his disappointments and how important it is to mold the democratic party to his worldview since the GOP abandoned him
This is America, jack. Get over it.
Plan A:
Doesn't like Bernie? Attack him.
Plan B:

Yes. Trump isn't even a real conservative. Goldwater would be shitting himself if he saw the so-called conservatives that have lined up behind Trump.
Trump is indeed a socialist strongman, not unlike his ideological ancestors Hitler and Mussolini. Conservatives always wind up falling for right wing strongmen. They eat that shit up and don't even realize what they're really ingesting. Earth, Hitler, 1933--key to Hitler coming to power was being able to get the old school conservative wings of the German political system on his side.
There are two types of Americans, and I'm not sure you are capable of understand the type that I belong to. The state I live in is about half the size of the entire UK. If we were to double the size of my state while keeping population density the same, it would still have 2/3s less people than the UK. We have people who enjoy and live in big cities- who no doubt sympathize with the nightmarishly congested European countries, and we have the more stereotypically American frontiersmen, such as myself, who live in quiet wide open spaces. We build our own houses. We draw water from our own wells. We eat eggs from our own chickens. We spend a year loving and taking care of a hog, then slaughter it for its meat. We love and are at peace with nature, yet we battle it at every turn. We are the Hemingways and the Thoreaus. Sharing time and space with other people is a pleasant respite, but it is not what we call home. Whatever "benefits" you feel that Americans are missing out on, I assure you I wouldn't trade the benefits I already enjoy for them in a million years- specifically, a peaceful soul at harmony with nature, and a rich and rewarding existence.Ok, if your environment, family and culture didn't nudge you into what you are today then what really stands behind who you are today ? (I admit am generally the product of my environment, either through accepting or rejecting it)

To me he isn't that much like Hitler, or fascists in general. Those were still pretty lawful and traditional in many ways.
While Trump simply has that Communist "I don't give a fu** about the rules" and "Not even the sky is a limit" attitude.
I'd love to see pictures of your countryside if you don't mind (just because I love rural photography). But I don't need socialized medicine. I've always received extremely good care without it. I wouldn't mind it I suppose if my taxes didn't go up more than I pay annually in insurance and if the quality and efficiency stayed the same (not likely on either front) but for the most part healthcare is as much of a non issue for me as social justice. My issue is usually with unnecessary government interference, regulation, and taxation. If you like I can post you the pictures of my countryside that has ALL of that. Plus they have socialized medicine. Although I admit that in rural areas it work somewhat weaker due to lower population density. Since not everything is next door (but that works for everything). However you are badly mistaken if you think that my grandmother didn't teach me how to grow my own food, that I was never drinking water directly from the well or river, that I don't know how to fix certain things, that I have never been around cows or sheep, or picking fruit at autumn, or packing food for cold winter days ... I am by European standards from a deep red state, therefore this is exactly why I claim you are wrong on this. You don't need to become a liberal to have this. But ok, as you wish.

And your position on exempting gun manufacturers from all liability is what?

But we are not those countries, we are America. We have our own way of doing things. Copying everyone else, is anti-antithetical to American culture. Those who dislike our system, are oikophobes.
Are you for suing Ford or Toyota if somebody driving one kills a pedestrian?
And if you happen to become chronically ill, will you shoot yourself to spare your next of kin the medical expense necessary to keep you alive?I'd love to see pictures of your countryside if you don't mind (just because I love rural photography). I don't have chickens myself, but I trade work for eggs for a few different friends who do have them. They are always drowning in eggs. Not sure of the breeds, I'll ask next time I see them.Cool. I didn't realize you raised chickens. What kind of breeds do you raise?
Ill probably get on Medicare after I retire and let them do what they can for me. If my next of kin want to kick in extra for anything they're welcome to, otherwise I'm content to go whenever my number is up. Until then I write off my health insurance through my buisness, and since I can purchase an entire house around my neck of the woods for what a couple years rent costs in most major cities, that frees up plenty of income to save for retirement. And if you happen to become chronically ill, will you shoot yourself to spare your next of kin the medical expense necessary to keep you alive?
