Who else likes margherita with anchovies?

spinach, red onion, artichoke, extra cheese, broccoli, basically all the veggies.

Meats: Pepperoni, ham, bacon, Italian sausage, chicken, and similar meats. (I don't really like beef, though. Hamburger, on a pizza?)

Veggies: Mushrooms, green peppers, occasionally onions or tomatoes (smaller chunks for the latter, not larger). No black olives ever.

Also, any mix of cheese... sharper/tangy is nice, although smooth mozzarella can be appealing.

I also enjoy white pizzas (i.e., with oils versus the red sauce base).


I'm not a fan of anchovies. Maybe that comes from my teenager years of working at Pizza Hut (long ago), where we would have to open whole cans of anchovies. I remember saturating a small pizza with all the anchovies in the can once + the sauce. Ugggh.

Who else likes margherita with anchovies?

Me. I love anchovies. I love nearly any topping that can go on pizza. My favorites would be roasted vegetables, grilled cheeseburger, pepperoni and extra cheese. Spinach, feta, olives plus gyro lamb, no red sauce. White pizza with artichoke hearts. The only one I don't like is the ham/pineapple combo.

My 12 year old thought this was brilliant. The only thing better, in his opinion, was topping the Totino's topping with Totino's pizza rolls.

There's this pizza chain in Portland called Pizzicato, that specializes in unusual pizzas. There was a seasonal special I tried a couple of years ago that had sausage, green apples, walnuts, red onions, and gorgonzola.

You guys. I can't even convey to you how weirdly, unexpectedly amazing it was.
