White rice, at least, is not at all healthy.
^^Brown rice &/or quinoa are much better options. ‘Good’ carbs should be rich in both fiber & protein. White rice, white pastas, white breads, etc, are not.
If you don’t like the flavor of brown rice, you can always add a little olive oil or avocado oil (fairly tasteless, healthy fats) & mix in some seasoning blends or fresh herbs/spices. I really like McCormick’s Cajun seasoning blend.
As for price, brown rice in bulk at practically any supermarket is relatively cheap.
