  • researched and ordered key fobs for my keyless entry car that I just bought that the used car dealer didn't give me the key fob for
  • called my dental plan to find out if we already maxed out on our yearly allowance... we didn't... thank God.
  • called my homeowner's insurance company to put in a claim for the flood in the kitchen on Saturday
  • called the used car dealer to make sure they're still planning to send me my Title... don't want to fall through the cracks
  • went to Wal-Mart to buy some Rubbermaid bins for the continued de-clutter project... got some windshield washer fluid, too... the pink kind that beads up water
  • wrote a question on my niece's Facebook wall
  • changed the batteries in my outdoor thermometer
  • exchanged emails with people who used the f-word at me and called me an idiot... I apologized for forgetting who they were... they apologized to me... they're giving me a $500 spinet!! Yay!!
  • ordered my son's school pictures
  • transferred money from savings to checking and balanced my checkbook
  • researched high temperature aluminum tape online, but couldn't find any
  • went to a hardware store that sent me to their maintenance department... asked the guy behind the counter for high temp aluminum tape... he says how much do you need... I say about 12 feet... he hands me a 322 ft roll and says, why don't you take this home, use what you need, and bring it back when you're done... I go out to my car and weep uncontrollably... just thankful I live in Maine where people still do stuff like that!
  • went to pick up my 15 year old son at school... picked up his friends at another location... took them most of the way to their favorite parkour spot
  • filled up my washer fluid reservoir with the pink stuff
  • took all the old sooty aluminum tape off the flue... put new aluminum tape on the flue... should have worn gloves... GooGone got the soot off my hands.
  • went to the grocery store to try to decide what I could possibly feel like eating for dinner... finally decided on a quiche that the son who requested quiche ended up sniffing and refusing to eat
  • cried on the phone with my cousin
  • cried all day long... about 10 times
  • watched some House
  • wrote in my blog :newwink:
Busy day. Tired now. Sunshine made me cry (happy tears). Gloominess depresses me. Love my new sunroof in my new car!

So the guy who gave me the aluminum tape? It's possible he might have a FREE replacement motor for my power venter! He's gonna check and see if his motor is the same make and model as mine and call me tomorrow! I am just totally overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers!

Yes. Very nice man.
Unfortunately, his motor was not the same model as mine, so I am still going to have to come up with a different solution.

HUG!!! Lists are wonderful - I don't think I could survive without them. We are very very fortunate to live in Maine - so many wonderful people! I don't think I could have gone through all this (last 8 months) anywhere else.

Another hug for good measure.
