As a child, I worshipped Michael Jackson. Nobody else mattered.
In the early teen years, it was all about Rap and Heavy Metal.
Metallica, Guns-N-Roses, Poison, Motley Crue, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, DIO, and Van Halen, etc.
RUN-DMC, The Beastie Boys, MC Hammer, and Vanilla Ice.
Then in my late teens it was Rap/Hip-Hop, Classic Rock, Punk, and Alternative.
Wu Tang, Fugees, Beastie Boys, Dr. Dre, Snoop, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, etc.
Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, the Stones, the Doors, the Velvet Underground, etc.
Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure, The Sex Pistols, Ramones, Joy Division, The Pixies, Jane's Addiction, and a bunch of obscure punk and "experimental" bands.
Then in my 20s, I got really into the whole Rave scene, and all kinds of electronic music.
Techno, Trance, IDM, Drum-n-Bass, Dubstep, etc.
Now, in my 30s, I still like most of the same music--except for the Heavy Metal and some of the Rap.
