The obligatory cry: "But, but, but . . . WALL STREET." Just mumble nonsense words for a paragraph and end with WALL STREET and you, too, can be a groovy bird.

Fuck Wall Street. There's a pandemic far more worthy of full focus.

Good thing that defense appropriations bill went through instead of it being held up (like an evil mean person in the Senate wanted) to get the $2000 stimulus checks.

Obama? [...] I can think of way better examples than him.
Well, thanks for proving my point.

Just curious, do you have ANY solutions besides just electing Democrats?
Electing Democrats is no solution at all, though given the current state of the GOP, it is probably a prerequisite for any solution. If you want a simple answer (any real answer would depend on a myriad of individual elements for any given political area), I would say: smart, comprehensive regulation. Obviously, at some point, that requires Congress, which brings us back to the beginning...

LOL at the fact that you think Biden is going to try to put Trump in jail.
I said I hope he has a plan to silence Trump.

The Senate voted to override Fatso's veto of the NDAA. So? Trump's pissed 230 wasn't repealed so he can try to sue the fuck out of Twitter and whoever else has caused him to have a hemorrhoid or two.

That his insight in banal and his solution simplistic.

Yes, it is banal.
This is exactly why politicians manage to forget or overlook those issues. Trump won exactly because of these banal things, how the story ended is different matter. However if you have a mass rot you generally have to start with the obvious. Here also, the mainstream politics got to play with itself and in the end we dodged having a far right president by only 2%. Because someone was too great and too special to deal with the basics. Which are quite a big deal if someone didn't cover those issues. Also in Italy it will be a challenge to prevent far right win on the next elections. However they also have those issues with the basics: food on the table, trash on the streets ... etc.

Here is what you get when you goggle:

Italy trash on the streets

However if Italy goes far right that will surely complicate quite a few things. Especially since France should vote soon after that if I am not mistaken. Therefore if you can take 10-15% of the vote on banal things you should absolutely take them. I mean if you don't live in dysfunctional area this can be difficult to picture properly. Since these are the kinds of things that are very easy to take for granted if you never lost them.

I don't care about his goddamn tweets.

A Senator from Vermont did try to hold the defense appropriations bill hostage to get the $2000 stimulus, but other Democrats like Dick Durbin wouldn't go along with it.

Thank god. Nobody needs 2000 dollars right now. It's more important to hold the cheeto-in-chief's tweets in check to preserve decorum.
