Trump vs. Biden

Cmon man, he was Obama's VP. Gotta preserve respect for the institution of the presidency.
You are barking at the wrong tree. Here is my take on Biden from last March:

Meh, Biden survives. After Tuesday, I expect Klobuchar and Warren and probably Pete to exit. Then we have Bernie and Biden and, given the stupidity of people in great numbers, likely a nominee Biden who will stumble through speeches, fall from a stage and embarrass himself with half-remembered anecdotes. It is anyone's guess then if the American people want an old fart or a deranged clown as their president.

Considering how many remarkable people there are in this world, it is quite sad that it is always such mediocre men who end up at the top.

We should probably move on from democracy. It hardly worked out for the people. Sorry, Abe.
There are only two things I like about Biden: a) He probably has a good heart, metaphorically speaking; b) He beat Trump. For all other intents and purposes, I would have preferred a number of other people as presidents. But that reality has not materialized. So all one can do is hope he governs intelligently.

Then why do you think he's going to do something about Trump? Does he seem like he's the kind of guy to disrupt the institution of the president by silencing Trump or something? That's supposed to be against the traditions of the office or something (because John Adams didn't sign the Alien and Sedition acts apparently).

Juliebird: Whitehouse.gov is the media!!!

I don't even know what you're trying to argue. Yes, he wanted to do something about 230G. I said I don't care about 230G. Posting a transcript where he says exactly that doesn't change his mind.

I guess the idea is that I'm supposed to be against 2000$ now because Trump wants. Very logical.

Trump doesn't want the 2000. He never did. It's merely a pawn for suckers. Quit bitching about the media and pay attention. We got 4 years of Trump because of people like you.

We got 4 years of Trump because Hillary ran the worst fucking campaign I've ever seen. I had nothing to do with that!

My hope is that political pressure, the inevitability of Trump otherwise interfering with his every move, and sensible counsel by advisors will lead him to act unusually. Also, it is not like Biden will have to actively do anything for Trump face criminal charges: He only has to not interfere with the proper functioning of the Justice Department - which, to his credit, he has already promised. Any any case, whining about his shortcomings now is pointless.

It's great you can hope. I don't allow for such things unless I feel it's pretty certain. I'm happier that way.

Nachos got us Trump. Did you know people ate nachos in 2016, which happens to be the very same year Trump got elected?

I can't stand the woman and even I'm not blaming her. What's your fucking excuse?

Well, people love to blame me for her losing even though I voted for her. I dunno why they can't blame the person who managed to lose to Donald Trump.

Maybe I blame her because it was her campaign and she seemed to think it was a good idea to seem as unappealing as possible? That whole election man..it was like I went through the same treatment that Malcolm McDowell went through to get him to stop doing crimes in Clockwork Orange. There was even random vomiting to go with it.

Yeah, I noticed you are like a liberterian in that you prefer to decry the state of affairs while offering unattainable fantasy as the only alternative: If it can't be Bernie, everything is terrible and we should complain about it not being perfect for four years. :newwink:

Pretty much. I think he holds up his picture when he's on the toilet.

Because not complaining worked so well the last time we had a Democratic president.
