A big sign of his incompetence is that he's been losing deeply for a few months but instead of coming up with a different strategy (deceitful or not), he refuses to accept the possibility and doubles down / denies instead of changing his approach. Like, he's not even creative enough to find a good lie/approach to snooker new people, and he has giving up trying to confuse/woo his enemies and the independents. He also has nothing but the same tired tricks that worked on Clinton but aren't as effective against Biden.

Most people when threatened with loss, their sense of survival kicks in and they become more effective and/or crafty, but we're not seeing anything like that here. It's only really surprising in that regard. It's like he's not even a gifted con man, once he has a record people can see and reflect on.

I think this was the gist of him winning in 2016 - he could con them into thinking he was a billionaire successful businessman. I have yet to see evidence of any of that.

I remember people guaranteeing that he was a businessman and would run the country like a business, it would be great. Never mind that no level of government is a business, it doesn't exist to make a profit or even a surplus. The only thing similar to a business is that Trump could bankrupt the country, just like he bankrupted numerous casinos and businesses. And in many ways he has, I don't hear conservatives or anyone on the right bitching about it, but they will as soon as there is a Dem elected.

However, Trump proved that the deficit is a myth and the Federal Reserve is reinforcing that myth daily. No one is going to buy that bullshit anymore.

He never had any of that to begin with, and thus he's being exposed as the conman who speaks in hyperbolic positive terms, yet who actually never has any real plan (and never has) on how to actually deliver.

If you do some background research into him, he's merely being who he always has been -- this is who he is, except in normal business transactions he's normally escaped into the night long before the con finally catches up with him.

I just don't see what path he actually has to victory -- Americans are losing faith in the country and what it stands for. And when you've actively sought to exclude or disparage everyone that doesn't fall within the parameters of his diehard alt-right base, there just isn't enough angry nationalists to solely win you the presidency, and he's finally even losing faith with a small percentage of this just because of how disastrous his response to the coronavirus has been.

Some people are thinking that the polls are missing a large population of silent, angry Trump supporters - the suburbanites and people in rural areas who are watching this rioting and anti-Americanism from violent leftists. These people don't want to talk to pollsters and there are tens of millions of them. I don't know how accurate this perspective is, but I think there is some truth to it. It's entirely possible that current polling methods are off by 10 to 20%.

This latest round of crazy talk about defunding the police, decapitating statues of Jesus, killing toddlers as a form of abortion, shutting down charter schools, and blowing up Mount Rushmore isn't going to sit well with female suburban voters. Trump had a big problem with female surburban voters, but I think the current civil unrest will convince many of them to support Trump.

Joe Biden is winning suburbanites by a historic margin, new polls show - CNNPolitics

Biden's advantage in the polls is most evident in the suburbs, where he is earning a historic amount of support for a Democrat.
Biden is up by a 52% to 43% margin among suburban voters in the ABC News/Washington Post poll.

In the average of all the polls, Biden's ahead by more than 15 points with suburban voters. This is a historic margin, if it holds.

The fact that Biden is doing so well in the suburbs shouldn't be a surprise. The suburbs are a bellwether vote of sorts in our current political environment. That is, the suburban vote mirrors the national vote closer than the urban or rural vote. Biden's lead in the suburbs is reflective of him doing significantly better than Hillary Clinton. Four years ago at this time, Trump was beating Clinton by a 45% to 35% margin in the ABC/Washington Post poll among suburban voters.

In other words, we're looking at nearly a 20-point improvement for Biden versus where Clinton was at this point in the 2016 campaign.

Yes, but there is practical problem with the cartoon things. He was elected exactly as a cartoon, that is exactly what made him electable.
Therefore after a certain point you are actually making him look either as a victim or a joke that can pass again. Since many vote on "impulse" or what not.
