This week end is particularly hard because today is my 27th Wedding Anniversary,
and Sunday is the 29th Anniversary of the day I fell madly in love with my husband... who passed away 10 weeks ago.

If you'd like to hear the story of how we met, here is the concise version:
I was working in my father's bar, singing on stage. Andy was making goo-goo eyes at me all night long. I decided to ask a guest musician to come on stage and take my place so I could go down and ask Andy to slow dance with me. So we danced to "I Can't Help It If I'm Still In Love With You" by Hank Williams Sr. I could tell by the way Andy held me that he wanted me, and I was instantly smitten. The next morning when I woke up, the world was a beautiful place, and I knew I was in love. We had our first date that day. And that's how it all started.

I know I have a lot to be thankful for since so many people never get to experience such love, but it's very hard to say good bye to such a good and faithful husband. And life is very hard for me right now.

INTJmom that is a bittersweet story. I am so sorry for your loss. It is a blessing though to have loved as you have, even with a broken heart, to have known and loved is far more better than to have never experienced it at all. As I write you this, it brings to mind my younger deceased brother. Although the death of a sibling doesn't seem the same as a spouse. I send you my love and condolences.
