You walk into a room and see a taxidermied bear in the corner. It's a huge and ferocious looking beast. You stare in awe. And then I tell you that there's something very special about that bear. It's magical. You ask me what makes it magical. I tell you that if you're afraid of the bear, it come to life and kills you.
What happens next?
You wish I hadn't told you! Can you remain unafraid like you were in the beginning? After all, it's not even alive. What is there to fear? You would only have to be afraid of it if you were afraid of it. As long as you know you've got nothing to fear, you've really got nothing to fear. Then you wonder if being afraid of being afraid would be enough to make the bear come to life. These thoughts worry you, because you begin to fear becoming fearful of the bear. Before you know it, you are growing fearful. You are scared. What if I mess this up and this bear comes to life? At this point, you've reached the point of no return. You are now petrified of the bear.
So the bear comes to life and it kills you.
The bear is LIFE. Don't be afraid of it.
