Enneagram tests are not the best. Unfortunately, we can't always see the parts of us that the enneagram exposes.

9s and 6s really struggle to be sure of their type. Some 4s as well.

You could be a 469 or 964....

That's about what I thought when I took it.

I may just choose to be a 42. It is the answer to life the universe and everything after all :)

*edit* and look at that post number! It agrees with me :)

Do you mean Enneagram and the wings?

My score has been 6w5 most often (ie 3 out of 5 tests scored highest for that) but I've gotten 9 as the highest and second highest with 4 equal to it or the 6 depending on which one was highest.

What did you experience at the time when you scored e9?

Are you asking how I felt about getting the 9? Or are you asking what was going on at the time that may have influenced me getting the 9?

I agreed with the 9. But I agreed with the 6 as well. But identified more with the 9 as a whole.

Yes to "what was going on at the time", during the time when you scored e9.

I can't remember exactly what was going on... I think it was a lull in some personal conflict with people I'm close to as well as a it being a dark time. I can't remember if it was during a time of emotional distress or not though.

I 'vê read EII is suppose to be the INFJ equivalent, but can someone be one in socionics and another in mbti? I would say the purists would say no, but I've seen conflicting socionics/mbti in the avatar/type area in posts here...

While the two systems are similar in that they have the same base material, yes, I'd say you can be different types in both systems.

Most people I've seen also believe in the "J/P switch"--which is that, if you are an introverted type, the j and p of your MBTI and socionics are flipped--for example, I am an ISFJ, but an ISFp in socionics. This only applies to introverts. The reason for this is that, ISFJ in MBTI uses Si--ISFj in socionics does not. But ISFp (socionics) and ISFJ (MBTI) share all of the same functions, while ISFJ (MBTI) and ISFj (socionics) do not. The functions are described differently in each system, so there are people of each variety--some who agree with the j/p switch, some who don't, and some who say "fuck it, they're different systems so it doesn't matter."

I like where you're coming from! I need to read up more on the different systems though i think. But i like hearing something a little less "it hás to be this way and there can be no bending of the 'rules'" type of thought. :)

Yeah I'm a "believer" of the J/P switch overall. It's also backed up in "Gifts Differing" by Isabel Myers. You can perceive internally, yet judge externally Pi/Je. I believe INFJ = INFp
INFP = INFj and it's consistent for the Extroverts I.e. ESFJ = ESFj, ESTP = ESTp

Some don't but what'evs.

And according to Kiersey, INFP's are the rarest most specialist unicorn universalist type!

Yet we seem to have so many here....

ISFJs are also supposedly common, but there are so few here. There are lots of NTs and NFs on this forum, however, because those types have the tendency to be more drawn to MBTI foruming I suppose.

I really need to check into the Kiersey system and look more at the socionics I think, but in light of the last couple of days where I was able to get out and socialize with more than just my immediate family I think I have to agree even more on the INFP for me.

I was around people and while I could feel that someone was agitated, i didn't become agitated. Instead I became calmer as a natural way to counter act it. And when I was around someone who was calm and I was nervous about something I tended to appear more calm (though still obviously nervous) than I would have normally been if by myself.

I can't say this happens in every case, but it happened often the past couple of days.

Thanks to everyone that gave me some insight on the subject! I'll have to go deeper into the forums and go play over in the INFP area now to get a better idea of what it all means.
