Best. Week. Ever.

Got pulled over by the cops on Tuesday for whatever reasons. I was told my tags where suspended. OK, I knew that...my car failed emissions earlier last year and I haven't had the time, money, and more strongly the inclination to get it fixed. I suck at car maintenance. OK, Mizz Coppah you annoy me but I can't argue with you.

Then the she-cop came back to the car and said, "Ma'am your license is suspended as well and it has been since 8/8/07. I need you to step out of the vehicle, your car is being impounded." Gee wilikers I did not know that.

Thus began my most recent journey into self-awareness.
  • I do not suffer fools gladly
  • I have no patience
  • I have no problem yelling at a police officer or other public servants
  • I will probably be put in jail if I continue to do this
  • Tow truck lot people are nice, notwithstanding they are the very instruments of evil
  • I need to take heed to parking signs, keep my tags up-to-date and take general automobile ownership more seriously. Or get a hubby who will do all that for me. And fill up my tank (gas or otherwise) on Sunday nights
Om.

Damn. That sucks. I sympathize, I didn't even notice when my tags expired, and it was just sheer luck that the parking enforcement lady who visited my workplace every workday never noticed before I happened to want to get a replacement title so that I could get a clear-title loan to pay off my credit cards... did I mention that I'm an INFP? Anyway, sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. I'm sorry that you weren't lucky, police officers are used to being yelled at, tow lots are indeed evil, and I wish you the best in taking care of it all in a more timely manner next time, though I'm skeptical of my own ability to do so.

Oh, man! Very sorry to hear that. I suck at car maintenance, too.

I think just finding a hubby would be easier than maintaining car maintenance. :rolli:

An Fe dom yelling at public servants? yikes. perfect example of shadow taking over, eh?

Thanks for the commiseration everyone.

Yeah, yelling at people seems very much within the domain of being a Fe-dom, can't blame any hijacks for that one.

I didn't even go into the worst of it which was when I was talking on my cell phone (maybe loudly?) outside sitting in a sidewalk cafe on a busy street so didn't think it was a big deal...Soho Coffee for anyone from DC. This vagabond starting yelling at me. He was reading a book about Verdi. Evidently, it was compelling reading. It just comical after that. We ended up smoking a cigarette together so all was well.

Plus when I looked in my glove compartment I found a tow truck receipt from about this time last year. So I expect to get towed again between August and September 2010.

It's an end of summer ritual!

It really sucks that this happened. :( I used to forget to renew my tags every year when I was younger, so I can somewhat relate, but I never got caught on a suspended license.

On a side note, do you still think you are an S? This type of things seems like a really N thing to do to me. (The forgetting part, not necessarily the yelling at the cops thing.) ;)
