skipping thanksgiving

any other americans do this today? I hate traveling during thanksgiving and the fact is the plans weren't finalized till the last minute so i was like i'm gonna stay in chicago get high and eat nachos because i'll see thoose same people in three weeks. s

Holidays are overrated.

One time I got so stoned on thanksgiving I almost ate a whole turkey with stuffing. I was genuinely in pain afterward.

I think Thanksgiving is a great holiday. It uses Pavlovian conditioning to teach Americans to have good manners. You say thank you, I give you turkey and pie. Yummy!

I don't think I've ever skipped thanksgiving in my life. Even when I was away from home as per the military, we had thanksgiving dinners. Of course, holidays are important to me

I'm skipping the dinner because I'm on a diet, but I'm still going to be with family...

I personally wouldn't care if I skipped every holiday. Some people feel bad about being alone on the holidays, but I don't... feels about the same as a normal day to me, don't particularly like the disruption Holidays tend to create in my routine.

They ship those to Japan, where it is packaged into little vials, ready for sale in a Tokyo metro vending machine. Salarymen pay a hefty price for those.
