The great psychologists, and perhaps some of the great philosophers too (Socrates idea that no one knowing does wrong for instance and all wrong doing is explicable by ignorance), have suggested that mankind needs to be related to others and things outside themselves and when they cant do so healthfully they do so some other way.
Would you agree? When you see people bullying, controlling, objectifying or seeking to hurt others and make them feel pain are they they still trying to relate?
