1; we have 1 party with two faces.

Consensus is much wider than it seems at first but I don't see it like that. You as a nation don't like new stuff too much in general but current situation can still be considered to be 2 parties with a degree of overlap.

Its a hell of a lot easier to say it than it is to live under it how ever you want to see it.

Yeah, I can agree with that.
However that is different pair of shoes. Plus this is the part where you kinda have a good amount of bipartisan consensus that nothing should be done. However just if two people agree that doesn't make them a single person. At least that is my take on this.

This is something that came out before as a topic, how North American style suburbia is too expensive for the quality of life it provides. Since the very paradigms in how they are build are highly questionable. If anything the transportation costs are high since the area is fully dependent on cars, while health and mental problems are also likely to arise from this kind of urban planning. So this is a food for thought.

I've got the face of American Bipartisanship right here:

Empty spaces, what are we living for?
Abandoned places, I guess we know the score, on and on
Does anybody know what we are looking for?
Another hero, another mindless crime
Behind the curtain, in the pantomime
Hold the line
Does anybody want to take it anymore?
The show must go on...
The show must go on, yeah
Inside my heart is breaking
My makeup may be flaking
But my smile, still, stays on
