I dont believe that either. And neither do you.
This is the Internet. Take something at face value and discuss or don't. Nobody here cares what's in your heart of hearts or what makes up your belief structure.

Funny you should mention McKinsey as I just read about them today. They were involved in streamlining the processing of asylum applications of Syrian refugees on Lesbos and helping strike a deal with the Turkish government. Apparently their work for the EU involved recommendations on how to faster reject single mothers and unaccompanied minors. Efficiency, you know? They got this 1 mio Euro job without as much as a call for tender.

To be honest though, the problem isn't Bruxelles, it's the many national governments refusing to accept a share of people.

On simplistic level yes, but it isn't that simple. They do that because their own people are telling them that. Since those are often under heavy austerity and in many of those countries you have plenty of people who live with less than 250 Euros a month. Therefore from those countries people are for decades running into more developed ones. Poor supporting the poor simply isn't that great strategy in practical sense. I think it is Junker who said that the path towards the Germany got opened exactly because most countries on the path simply don't have the capacity to properly handle this. Not to mention that those people are running from those poorer countries even if they have to stay there. They all by good margin want to go into their promised land and many countries on the path simply don't interest them. But if you lock them up in some space that also isn't ok. On the other hand: talking about this without talking about what caused the refugee waves from certain countries in the first place kinda shortsighted. Since at this rate the whole nations will move abroad, what obviously didn't happen just on itself. The real solution is that people don't have to run at all.

What's that old saying about consulting? They take your watch, then charge you so they can tell you the time. (I'm not ragging on all consulting; I just think it's sort of a bloated industry, much like finance.)

Philanthrocapitalism distilled:

Do not ask me to do less harm. Let me do my harm, and please look over there at my do-gooding.

Do not interrogate my socially destructive main business. Judge me by my side hustles of virtue.

If everyone approached the very wealthy do gooder in this fashion, knowing it's done with very little philanthropy in mind, we would all be better off. And there will be blue collar, working class, marginally above working poor person that pipes up in these ghouls defense. What an amazing con they have going.

Dodgers' Joc Pederson drops extremely loud F-bombs in fan-less stadium for whole world to hear

The world is turned upside down by a virus, people are dead/dying, and using an F-bomb is actually a big deal to you? Crawl under a rock, buddy. Or slap yourself.

I think that was the same argument Republicans used against AOC after Ted Yoho called her a "fucking bitch", lol

There's a difference between being called a "fucking bitch" by a colleague and a baseball player shouting "fuck!" (at himself) after fucking up. Without a screaming audience in the stands, anything a player shouts is getting picked up by a microphone. Apparently some goofball thought it was worth writing about. (As if the writer has never said the word "fuck" in his life.)

Oh yeah, that makes sense. I was just joking.
