Lawmakers recommended charges on four counts stemming from Trump’s monthslong effort to stay in power after his election defeat — obstruction of an official proceeding, conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to make a false statement and efforts to incite, assist, or aid or comfort an insurrection.
The panel voted unanimously to send the criminal referrals to the Justice Department. The referrals, which mark the first time that the House has recommended criminal charges against a former president, do not guarantee that Trump will be indicted — but they do add to the evidence being weighed by the Justice Department and special counsel Jack Smith in its own investigation of Trump.

Members of the panel argued that Trump’s efforts to overthrow the election results, from pushing unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud to urging his supporters to send fake electors to Washington, form enough evidence for federal prosecutors to win a conviction against the former president.

so shocking

According to testimony received by the Select Committee, the only advisor present who supported President Trump’s inclination to declare victory was Rudolph Giuliani, who appeared to be inebriated.40

EDIT:

The day after the attack on the Capitol, Dr. Eastman called Eric Herschmann to talk about continuing litigation on behalf of the Trump Presidential campaign in Georgia. Herschmann described his reaction to Eastman this way:

And I said to him, are you out of your F'ing mind? Right? I said, because I only want to hear two words coming out of your mouth from now on: Orderly transition. I said, I don't want to hear any other F'ing words coming out of your mouth, no matter what, other than orderly transition. Repeat those words to me.”

Herschmann concluded the call by telling Dr. Eastman: “Now I’m going to give you the best free legal advice you’re ever getting in your life. Get a great F’ing criminal defense lawyer, you’re going to need it,” and hanging up the phone.

I'm looking forward to his video explainer about Andrew Tate getting owned by Greta Thunberg then getting arrested in Romanian for human trafficking.

Romanian newspaper Gândul has reported that Andrew’s clash with climate activist Greta Thunberg played a key part in the authorities confirming that both brothers were in the country at the same time.

Apparently he really was running on exorbitant fumes all this time.

On one hand, it confirms what most of America has already known: Donald Trump is a conman who has lied about his actual wealth for decades, all while exploiting our broken tax code to shield himself from whatever tax burden he would have.

The problem is the mainstream media only focuses on Trump, and I'm still not quite sure of this is done intentionally to shield the real insidious characters that prop him up or because they are really that dense in believing that life was hunky dory until Donald Trump showed up, ignorant to all the other societal factors that could lead to a person of his caliber rising in the first place.

I am really sick of the constant focus on Trump and I am convinced it is done primarily because this helps with ratings/clicks/etc.

This is why I need to invent something awesome, like meat straws, so I can become rich and then buy and destroy Twitter. 140 character limits are not conducive to fostering enlightening or deep thoughts.

My main issue with the release of the tax returns is that people are acting like this is a gamechanger when it changes pretty much nothing. The idea is that since it's now been revealed that he's not really all that rich, many people who like him will stop liking him. But what will actually happen is that they'll just deny it or spin it like with everything else since his political relevance emerged in the foul year of our lord of 2015. I don't understand how people can be so out of touch with psychology or social dynamics, especially if that's sort of part of their job (politics really involves these things.... could it be a consequence of over-specialization?) .

Every magic trick consists of three parts, or acts. The first part is called the pledge, the magician shows you something ordinary. The second act is called the turn, the magician takes the ordinary something and makes it into something extraordinary. But you wouldn't clap yet, because making something disappear isn't enough. You have to bring it BACK. Now you're looking for the secret. But you won't find it because of course, you're not really looking. You don't really want to work it out. You want to be fooled.

The Pledge...
The Turn...
...The Prestige.

Magicians, confidence tricksters, and politicians all rely on this.

It's a Kansas City Shuffle.
The sanity of the narrative only holds up as long as you're willing to suspend your disbelief...
You look left....
and they --
--Pull right.

It's literally the only reason the media mentions him at all and they have said so expressly. But if anyone believes he's going to be charged with a crime or that his tax returns reveal anything, they're the same idiotic rubes that still believe that there is a difference between what Fox says and what CNN says.

The bigger thing is the stuff congress just passed regarding elections. Of course no noticed as it's dry and bureaucratic but you'd think after all that's happened, a moment of attention before something catastrophic happens, might be a good idea.
