I saw this and there are a few things that most people forgot here. Which is that he has tens of millions of armed followers. Therefore if you really do something about the guy all hell will brake lose almost surely. Therefore the most of party are trying to give these hints that he is "problematic person". However the loyal base doesn't really care. They know that they don't have another horse for what they want and they will follow him to the end of Earth. Especially since they see the party elite as much bigger problem. Therefore through him they found the way how to control the party establishment and that is the leverage they will not give up just like that.

Plus to be honest the biggest problem here is that some foreign "problematic" country could decide to send some "professionals" to deal with him. What in the current conspiracy climate would almost surely lead to open civil war all over the country. Therefore however you turn it this will almost surely spill into something very none pretty down the road. At this point everything is just house of cards which no one is really trying to deconstruct in time. Since that might just crash it and therefore everyone is just playing dumb and pretends that everything is kinda ok.

Trust me, no one has forgotten this.

But it will be awesome when President DeSantis decides to Waco these people when they come for him. All their fever dreams will come true. He's already a dictator, I'm looking forward to these fucks enjoying it aimed at them.

What exactly do you mean with this ? Especially since I don't really understand what "Waco" means ? Why big "W" ?

I'm using Waco as a verb here. Probably doesn't require capitalization though, my bad for being confusing.

I'm just projecting at 1) DeSantis will be the next president. I'm not saying elected because the idea that the GOP is going to even continue to pay any attention to elections is laughable and 2) Once the rubes realize that DeSantis is the elite and that he is replacing their king Trump, they'll turn on him. And he'll use the federal powers at his disposal exactly the way one would expect.

Ok, in that light it makes sense.

However I think that DeSantis saga isn't 100% certain outcome. He will probably manage to push Trump out of the picture. However the real question is what the Democratic party will do. If they go with Biden against him that is going to be a disaster for the party almost surely. Just the fact that there is 35 years of difference in age is a huge problem. Plus with DeSantis a good chunk of that never Trump vote will evaporate around the center. So as I said the biggest question is what the democratic party will do. If Desantis starts to push out Trump the changes on the Democratic side have to be ready. Democrats just have to find a new face or risk some serious loses against DeSantis. Plus to be honest my first pick for that race would be your Governor. Female, white, relatively competent, fairly young and likable, good 2022 numbers, from swingish part of the country ... etc. DeSantis will not be easy opponent so preparations have to be made. Plus something new has to be tried out in what the party is offering. So I would play a female card in 2024, it is provocative but not overly or fundamentally.

I like Grech too. Maybe Whitmer/Pritzker - rust belt, Great Lakes govs, broad appeal, not elderly.

I am unsure about VP but I would go with white woman that has some electoral and practical results, as well as recognition. How the rest of the ticket will look like is still way too early to say. Although it might make sense to pick VP from some swing state that is far away (if we presume this is a decent and competent person). Someone from Nevada or Arizona for example. Plus it would probably make sense to go with Latino for VP. From what I have seen that demographic will be quite swingy in 2024.

Michelle Lujan Grisham is the gov of New Mexico, not sure she has much name recognition outside of the southwest though.

And in the end Georgia goes blue.

Overall just as I said, playing with Roe will prove to be a mistake. This was simply too radical political decision that had to trigger people. What eventually led to mid-term results that were against the odds. Not to mention that the actual physical problems with overturning Roe have jet to materialize. Since it will take years that the social and financial outcomes of this decisions are fully visible. Therefore this saga is far from being over. Plus candidate quality problems on the red side didn't help either.

So you want to set off a domino effect?
Well first you've got to get enough people across the country into dominoes, and that could take decades.
Then after that; you've got to cultivate your domino setters to set up all them little dominoes all over, knowing that they're only setting them up to take the fall...that would take at least four years, maybe six if a pandemic happens.
Then at some point, you just have to wait for someone to knock down the dominoes and for them to start to falling fast enough and in great enough numbers that even if you wanted to...you couldn't stop the dominoes from falling...

Are you or someone you know merely dominoes in someone else's little art project?

Prosecutors said 25 German citizens were detained on suspicion of "membership in a terrorist organization" and that the group, which was not identified in their statement announcing the raids, is alleged to have believed in a "conglomerate of conspiracy theories consisting of narratives from the so-called Reich Citizens as well as Q-Anon ideology," according to a statement by prosecutors.
