Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has suggested President Donald Trump bears some responsibility for Iran's mistaken downing of a commercial airliner last week. Trudeau argued in a new interview that Iran never would have shot the plane down — killing all 176 passengers and crew members, including 63 Canadians — if tensions between the US and Iran hadn't recently escalated.

He doesn't care about Canadian loss of life. Hell, he doesn't even care about our own troops being injured. They just have "headaches," didn't you know?

Just saying. (looks cool)

How in general global GDP looks like.

How in general GDP PPP looks like, which adjusts for local prices. (as far as I understand)

Now he's trying to keep Bolton from publishing his book. What's next - pounding on the front door of his house?

Where is money there is a way.

Longest 'narco-tunnel' found on US-Mexico border

As I said: the wall is nice political gesture that helps in simple times, however we are moving away from those. The profit seem just too big that the cartels would give up, after all if they build something like this in the desert the odds of finding it are slim. Therefore if situation in Mexico and Central America become bad enough the millions will make a run on the wall, which will be so long that it will be hard to truly protect 24/7. There are hundreds of millions south from the wall and if only 1% shows up it will be a mess. Plus as their societies deteriorate there will be more and more outbreaks that hit either people or crops. While China has the tendency to move into the devastated lands for it's own gain.

Therefore the only real long term solution is to find local politicians that can hold things together and perhaps aid them with info and certain supplies.

"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, my client murdered his wife because he believed what he was doing was in the best interest of the American people."

How long before people start doing that crazy shit in court, Alan?

More like Douchewitz, amirite?

Evidently, I can do whatever I want if I want to be President because wanting to win an election is in the national interest.

St. Petersburg Times Editorial: “Rick Scott is a hospital executive who ran a company that was fined a record $1.7 billion for Medicare and Medicaid fraud.” (St. Petersburg Times, Editorial, 08/08/10)

Curious: America doesn't have the so called "pre-election silence" ?

In other words on a day before any elections it is forbidden to air any ads or have shows that talk about candidates or with candidates. So that voters have a day to think it through in peace.

Peace. In America? :D

I am just asking, there are plenty of state by state differences. (but indeed the whole idea doesn't sound too "Americanish")
Here we always vote on Sunday so this falls always on Saturday, therefore it is indeed generally peaceful.

You mean a media blackout? No of course not.

But I would back anyone who seriously suggests one 100%. As well as making election day a federal holiday or holding elections on a weekend day. Unfortunately, not having a centralized voting system leads to well....this.

Actually the media blackout is perhaps too hard term but specific topics about candidates are forbidden as well as rallies. However if you brake it the media have the right to report it, so the only thing in the air will be the bad thing you or your campaign did.

Btw. I am watching examples of caucus. I mean I get the idea and I even kinda like it but that looks like a chaos and anonymity is dead, especially since cameras are there. Here peace and anonymity are kinda sacred part of the whole thing.

The following quotes are all real and were posted underneath the same article within a short period of time but not as a reaction to each other:

The Economist: *posts an article about how the EU increasingly selfidentifies in cultural terms and how that is a bad thing*
Reader 1:
European Union is a race based racist organization with Germans at the top, and Greece, Spain etc. at the bottom. The lower 'races' accept subordination to the upper one in return for cash bailouts and handouts in various forms. It's nationalism on a continental scale..
Reader 2:
The EU is a socialist conglomerate. That's why the UK left and now the Netherlands. Countries with any shred of dignity resent the EU
Reader 3:
EU is a mercantile Neo-Liberal block whose failure is a matter of when, not how

At least they can all agree that the EU is the source of all evil.
