August 16th is the last date to get a different candidate on the ballot for Ohio.

Jon Stewart, Katie Porter, Bernie Sanders, ... who?

I’m sick of well-off people crying poor and complaining about how they’re worse off under Biden.

Like one dude I know collects expensive guns. Don’t bitch about inflation if you have fun gun money. Another person whining about groceries but just bought a brand new SUV.

What a bunch of entitled babies. God forbid you have to take one less cruise trip or buy one less gun or whatever. Oh you can’t afford to go to that yuppie music festival? I’m sick of these types of people because I’ve actually struggled a good chunk of my adult life. I know the anxiety of skipping meals so my kid can be well fed, I know the anxiety of risking burnout so I can work an ass load of overtime to make rent and utilities. Entitled ass boomers, man

Inflation is not an American thing through, we have it in Europe too. It's caused by global factors, not the US president. According to German media the US economy is actually doing remarkably well under the circumstances - much better than many other industrial nations anyway.

If you can't afford food, healthcare, housing or education though that might be down to matters of distribution of wealth, i.e. national and local policies. That is sometimes to take your politicians up on.

Exactly as I said: if you don't watch things at the global level you don't understand what is actually going in you own back yard. Since the big picture defines the trends, not your backyard.

And yes, the inflation is global at this point. What is because the world of free trade is falling apart due to all the wars, tensions, trade barriers, natural disasters, refugee waves etc. In other words US is just one of 190 countries out there. So blaming any particular individual for all this is either ignorance or propaganda.

speaking for myself, you're preaching to the choir, but the message is very important. So by all means from the rooftops again with feeling.

As far as Im concerned propaganda is cradle to grave. And ignorance is the gross national product. Shame its such an easy to cultivate high yield exploitable resource.

Yes I realize the President has little to no effect on it, it’s still funny to me how these types of people complain about it as though the American President has a lever he pulls to affect grocery and gasoline prices on any given day.

To be honest I am hoping that people who wonder in here will pass on some of the arguments I make. If there is any luck they may even copy/paste some of my arguments. It isn't that any of this has a copyright attached to it. Therefore I am just unloading what I have and hope something will stick. :sage:

I’m all for expanding the draft to include women, but I can bet that if there’s a major war and it gets implemented, we can expect to see a bunch of female draftees suddenly become pregnant to avoid going to war. Years later, it will be referred to as the great draft boom.

That would buy them 9 months and some change if it came to that. But the Government learned their lesson in Vietnam. They don't want to use a draft. They'd rather offer enlistment bonuses. But there's plenty of active duty women who get pregnant and serve, they just get put on desk duty providing their job is usually physically intensive.

I mean I’d get knocked up if it got me on desk duty instead of front line combat

This is the map of how Arctic ice cap looks at this point.
In other words since this is quite warm year globally it is possible that this year we will brake the record for minimum surface area that comes after every Summer melt. Since the climate change slowly but surely adds upon the seasonal melt.
