I'm within a few days either way of my one-year anniversary with trying to change my habits and get in shape, lose some weight, etc. I've been very good about doing aerobic stuff four times a week and resistance weights three times a week - frankly much better about it than I'd have thought I could be.

I'm not so terribly thrilled with the results. I'd hoped to lose 10 pounds or so, and my grand total is... 0 pounds. At least close enough to consider any difference insignificant. I'm pretty sure I'm in better shape, I just eat more.

Not exactly the effect I was going for. Maybe keeping up at it another year will do the trick

Why do you need to lose weight? I think being healthy is more important than the pounds...

Unless you need to lose a lot for health reasons, shape is probably more important than the weight you lose. Do your clothes fit well? The point at which mine don't is when I start to worry about my size/shape.

If you've been lifting weights and gaining muscle you might very well have no weight loss. But you'll be in better shape.

I had the same situation - I got into excellent shape with rigorous exercise, but had no weight loss. It was only after I stopped exercising so hard and stopped eating white carbs that I lost weight.
