This is a really great book. It's written by two people who each have 25+ years of experience doing pre-marital, marital and post-marital counseling. They combine that knowledge with an understanding of MBTI to provide advice on what it takes for couples of different types to get along. They provide some good basic explanation of the different preferences and how they impact the way we experience things. The provide some nice examples of how these preferences manifest themselves. They talk about general characteristics of introverts and extraverts together as well as sensing types with intuitives. They also talk about power dynamics in relationships and how each the dominant cognitive functions influences that dynamic. There is an explanation of each of the 16 types - what they tend to be like in relationships and those things they value in a mate. Finally there is a description of each unique type combination grouped by dominant function. So, it describes dominant introverted intuitives with dominant introverted sensors, for example. There are 24 total possibilities. They describe general characteristics of the relationships, when it's working, when it's not and some helpful hints. It was a concise and well written book. No fluff and quite useful information that seemed pretty accurate to me.
