Intimacy is desired and delightful by those who are whole and wholesome, but those who are damaged and damaging, intimacy is deeply painful and to be avoided.

Fortunately we can avoid intimacy by maintaining our psychological defences and by controlling others. Also we can avoid intimacy by joining with those who are also damaged and damaging.

Intimacy is a like a fire: it can warm or it can burn.
