I Write Like

I tried a bunch of different samples and got different results, but most often got David Foster Wallace.

I knew very little about him or his work, but I've just looked it up and I find it to be very intriguing.

So.....Off to investigate this new rabbit-hole.....

A lot of Chuck Palahniuk - Seems to come up when the pieces submitted contain a fair amount of swearing and dark contemporary themes. Transgressional fiction, definitely, which completely makes sense.

Cory Doctorow - Comes from late-adolescent character voices.

J.D. Salinger - One of the results came from a fantasy piece written from when I was eleven, and it was pretty bad. Not the author I was expecting.

Stephen King - A few of my blog posts.

Dan Brown - From a blog post of mine about Christianity. Huh.

Douglas Adams - Came from a slightly hyperactive, sarcastic and spontaneous narrator.

I think this program compares various works of authors to the inputted texts. It only recognises familiar words and such, which I found from experimentation. Not to be taken seriously, but it's pretty fun nonetheless.

And apparently, this post is like H.P. Lovecraft.
