Yes, I consider this my ultimate "What's my type" thread. This is where I hope to end my tempestuous indecision.
I'm against using questionnaires to ascertain my personality type at this point because I believe they do not encompass the entirety of an individual's character. In essence, the questions are not adequate. Besides, they rely too heavily on stability, under the assumption that there is no changeability. For example, my answers to some questions today might very well differ from my answers to those same questions tomorrow. It's possible. But the questionnaires do not take that into account. At the same time, I don't think describing myself would work. I introspect a lot, but I doubt my ability to verbalize those introspective leaps. I'm not being boastful, but I think my character is too complex (maybe, even in a negative way) to delineate in words. I might even be Bipolar. In fact, before my acquaintance with typology, I used to believe I was suffering from the Bipolar Disorder. I also think I have social anxiety, which may make my behavior, both externally and internally, contradictory. But enough about mental illnesses. At the very least, I'll just attempt some tests, even though I know they're unreliable, just to get things going.
Basically, just ask me questions. Or ask to me tell you about my opinions on things.

You were of great assistance the last time.

Summary Analysis of Profile
By focusing on the strongest configuration of cognitive processes, your pattern of responses most closely matches individuals of this type: INFP
Lead (Dominant) Process
Introverted Feeling (Fi): Staying true to who you really are. Paying close attention to your personal identity, values and beliefs. Checking with your conscience. Choosing behavior congruent with what is important to you.
Support (Auxilliary) Process
Extraverted Intuiting (Ne): Exploring the emerging patterns. Wondering about patterns of interaction across various situations. Checking what hypotheses and meanings fit best. Trusting what emerges as you shift a situation’s dynamics.
If these cognitive processes don't fit well then consider these types: ENFP, or INTP
Curious results. Of course, the accuracy is questionable. I actually did this one after a long time. I consistently scored INTP for this one.

Your Sociotype: ILE-0 (ENTp)
Brief Description of the ILE
Using extroverted intuition as her base function and introverted thinking as her creative, the ILE is adept at generating a thousand solutions for the same problem. Unlike the LII who is bound by the rules he follows, the ILE sees these same rules as flexible and enabling--they can be altered and adjusted to enable every new idea the ILE conceives. In fact, the rules are often completely rewritten for every new idea the ILE has. At her best, the ILE is capable of learning complex and abstract concepts faster than almost any other sociotype and building off this knowledge to create a multitude of theories and ideas. At her worst, the ILE is often so inundated by new thoughts that actualizing one singular idea to fruition can be difficult. And although the ILE is good at understanding more abstract phenomena, the ILE often struggles understanding the more nuanced societal norms of interaction, which can cause her to be unsure of the appropriate action when socializing. Learn more about the ILE here!
Other Possible Types
LII (INTj): 92% as likely as ILE.
ILI (INTp): 68% as likely as ILE.
IEE (ENFp): 66% as likely as ILE.

I think my greatest problem or doubt with Ne is how it's often described as a relentless generator of possibilities. Sure, I relate to that. I'm also constantly looking for potential and patterns among external objects and yes, I'm adept at providing innovative solutions to problems that are armed with possibilities, but I'm mediocre at brainstorming. I'm great at pattern-seeking, however. Consider this passage.
"I did something similar while watching Thank You For Smoking a few days ago. How is that movie and The Dark Knight connected? Of course, both of them star Aaron Eckhart. But wait, there's something else. Rachel. In Batman Begins, Rachel was played by Katie Holmes. Katie Holmes also stars in Thank You For Smoking. So, the two Rachels are connected through Aaron Eckhart. Or, Harvey Dent has a relationship with both the cinematic incarnations of the character Rachel. Another random connection was that both the movie and Batman Begins were released in the same year. What if Harvey Dent was just a new identity where the individual took the profession of a lawyer in order to compensate for his shenanigans in Thank You For Smoking (they were essentially the same character in terms of personality, Harvey Dent just being more moralistic)? But in the end, what especially took my interest was how those movies were connected. As a matter of fact, I have a propensity for playing with such interconnections and patterns. A similar incident was when I predicted (or rather, saw it coming) the encounter between Berric Dondarian and Melisandre in Game of Thrones (way before the King's Blood arc because by then, it would have been obvious). And then there's the Gyllenhaal-Heath Ledger connection... you get the point."

Your core type (your strongest type) is Type 5 with a 6 wing: Type Five individuals are cerebral, intelligent, and complex. Type Five is often called the Investigator type, because they are constantly trying to learn more about the world. To a Five, knowledge is power, and knowing more about the world around them makes the world a safer place. It’s common for a Five to withdraw into their own thoughts and ruminate on intricate ideas and concepts. Type Fives, when they are in a growth state, become self-confident and authoritative like a Type Eight. When they are stressed, Type Fives become scattered like an unhealthy Type Seven. You are a Type Five with a Six wing, which means that the cerebral nature of a Type Five combines with the troubleshooting thought style of a Type Six. This makes Type 5w6 the Enneagram type of the stereotypical scientist – the 5w6 is always creating new ideas and testing them.
Your second type (your next strongest type) is Type 1 with a 2 wing: Type One individuals have a very finely tuned sense of right and wrong, and they chart the course of their lives by following a righteous path. This doesn’t have to be religious… it can be any set of principles that the Type One finds ethical. Ones are perfectionists, often setting high standards for themselves and others. Type One may very well be the noblest type in the Enneagram. When a Type One is in a state of growth, they become excited and joyous like a Type Seven. When a Type One is stressed, they become emotional and overwhelmed like an unhealthy Type Four. You are a Type One with a Two wing, which means that the righteous traits of a Type One combine with the helpful nature of a Type Two. This makes you naturally inclined to advocate on behalf of other people, and the welfare of others is probably an important part of your worldview.
Your third type (the least-used of the three) is Type 4 with a 5 wing: Type Four individuals are intensely emotionally aware, and often retreat to their rich inner world of concepts and ideas. They are the most artistic type in the Enneagram and driven to create their own, unique identity. Type Fours value authenticity highly and express themselves whenever they can. They are one of the most individualistic types in the Enneagram. Type Fours, when in a state of growth, become principled like Type Ones. When stressed, Type Fours can become clingy like an unhealthy Type Two. You are a Type Four with a Five wing, which means that the individualist nature of a Four combines with the cerebral nature of a Five to make you one of the most creative types in the Enneagram.
Some words that describe you: principled, moralistic, perfectionist, self-critical, creative, unique, authentic, emotional, intelligent, cerebral, questioning.
Don't identify with 1w2, really.
